1. The Priestly is the first narrative, which is found in Genesis 1:1-4:4a. The Yahwist is the
second narrative, which is found in Genesis 2:4b-25 and is written in a more casual,
conversational style.
2. The creation of the universe and the earth as a whole is the focus of the first narrative, while
the creation of specific things, like the first man and woman and the Garden of Eden, is the focus
of the second narrative.
3. The term "God" is used in the first narrative, while the term "Lord God" is used in the second
narrative.
5. The creation of the firmament on the second day is described in the first narrative, but it is not
mentioned in the second.
6. On the fifth and sixth days, living things were created in the waters and on the land in the first
narrative, while Adam, the first man, was created from ground dust in the second.
7. On the seventh day, God is mentioned in the first narrative, but God is not mentioned in the
second.
8. The first narrative doesn't say anything about how the Garden of Eden or the Tree of
Knowledge was made, but the second one does.
9. The first narrative doesn't say that the first man made a partner, but the second one says that
the first woman, Eve, was made from one of the man's ribs.
10. The second narrative describes the first man naming all of the animals, the first narrative
does not mention the naming of the animals.
