It is generally installed in the basement of the home where it can be monitored and cleaned regularly. Do you have a high-flow, high-temp spindown filter for this purpose? Ye Yes Outdoor Boilers must be kept completely full of water – this is mandatory. This can be accomplished either the hard way (with buckets or a hose), or the easy way (our proprietary “Fill Kit”). A “Fill Kit” is optional but highly recommended. Since most outdoor boilers are open to the atmosphere, the Fill Kit allows you to add water by simply opening a ball valve for a few seconds each month to top off the boiler.
