IN EMERGENCIES

QUESTION.
• A drone is used to dispatch medical emergency (first aid) kit in
congested city areas. You are responsible for creating an AI
algorithm. Create a presentation to explain how your algorithm will
prioritize the patients in need and justify it.
How will the drone prioritize patients
After the drone will receives multiple calls for emergencies, it will decide its first
patient. There are three factors that will help the drone in prioritizing its first patient.
• Severity of emergency.
• Distance
• Social Significance.
SITUATION 1
In the scenario where there are multiple emergencies at the same time, the drone will
first of all consider the graveness of the situation and opt to help the person more in
need of medical assistance.
Justification
A person who is severely injured has a less chance of survival than the person who
has a mild injury. Thus the drone will opt to help the person with the greater injury. This
will increase his time of recovery as help is provided faster.
SITUATION 2
In the scenario where there are multiple emergencies at the same time and the situation
is similarly serious then the drone will choose the person who is closer.
Justification situation
If there multiple emergencies at the same time which have a similar situation, the
drone will prefer the person who is closer to the place of dispatching as there will be a
greater chance of him surviving than the person who is further away as he will get
medical attention faster.

SITUATION 3
In the scenario where there are multiple emergencies at the same time and there
is similar distance and emergency, the drone will prefer to provide aid to the person
who is more socially significant.
Justification
If there multiple emergencies at the same time which have a similar situation, the drone
will opt for the person who is more important to the society because the society has
invested more time and resources into him.
