Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that South-South cooperation is not essential and contributes to the development and growth of countries in the South. However, after reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now think/realize its importance and the benefits we can get from it. The countries in the South can form solidarity among the citizens and the nations. It can improve the well-being of people and societal development. ii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that the historic Bandung Conference of 1955 was unimportant and a typical political meeting between the Asian and African governments. However, after reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now think/realize that the Asian-African Conference is essential to prevent colonialism and neocolonialism by each nation. The conference is also the reason for the existence of the SSC global political movement. It promoted human rights and world peace. They formed cultural and economic collaboration. iii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that the five emerging powers or countries do not contribute to the economy and sit at the top because they are the most influential countries. However, after reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now think/realize the five emerging countries or the BRICS contribute to other countries' development.
