DANCE REFLECTION

REFLECTION on DANCING CHA-CHA
Rhythmic activities was very challenging, dancing to the tune of cha-cha. We need to
practice the movements more and more, plus full concentration. People think this activity is
useless, but for me it’s useful. Although I’m not too good in it, but I tried to do it perfectly,
because it could be used as a warm-up for body.
Honestly, I enjoyed dancing cha-cha with my sister. Getting to be creative with our
actions was a unique experience. Therefore, I think that the fact that we were able to develop
dance was a good experience to really have fun actively. Even if I felt slightly embarrassed to
move around, I felt at ease as the time went by and found myself enjoying cha-cha.
The most challenging part during this assignment was creating the steps. We had
difficulty to practice our actual dance within the time that Sir has given.
During the final dance, I learned that I really do enjoy dancing, although not really in
front of other people. When I practiced at home, I found myself having fun instead of dreading
the practices. Therefore, cha-cha was actually very enjoyable for me. I loved the vibe I got when
I was dancing. I can say I learned something about myself. I learned that I have to be openminded to learn new things, and explore my options. I have learned to appreciate dance in many
ways, dance isn’t just a movement, it has a lot of history and meaning behind it.
Life of a college student is very challenging. Despite the load of assignments, quizzes,
exams, and projects to catch on targets there is still avenue to loosen up. Thanks for my
professor, Sir Rhod Castaneda, that I could still able to maintain and contribute to my good
physical, mental, social and emotional health. It also provide me equal opportunity to create,
learn, enjoy and participate in skill development through a variety of physical activities that have
lifelong value.
