IMPORTANT Improving Reading Fluency Elementary: 1) Use ruler to follow along in order to keep focused on material. 2) Read small passages at least twice, once for familiarity and second time for fluency. 3) Pull out words they had trouble with during reading to make flashcards with to review prior to reading the next night. 4) Create a stress free environmenttake away distractions, keep area comfortable and relaxing.
