Quality Manager’s main goals :

Help the company consistently provide products and services that meet customer and
applicable statutory and regulatory requirements (or standards);
Enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of a Quality Management
System.
Responsibilities of the Quality Manager and his/her team include:

Establish and maintain control of documented quality procedures, policies, standards, and
specifications for the company
Ensure company’s processes comply with both national and international standards
Measure performance of the company’s processes and identify any areas of weakness,
recommending and implementing improvements
Collaborate with an organization's purchasing manager to ensure materials from external
suppliers meet quality requirements
Collaborate with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to
enable all employees to achieve quality standards
Supervise technicians, inspectors, and other company staff to ensure they perform their
duties in line with established quality procedures
Conduct surveys to identify customer requirements and ensure customer satisfaction
Make sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors
Collect, compile, and analyze relevant data to obtain information regarding company’s
performance
