Why is it important to look after ourselves? It is important to give attention to our body. We need to
look after ourselves because we need to stay healthy. We can stay healthy if we follow a good
routine. There are multiple factors that we could include in our routine, but we should focus on the
major ones.
Healthy eating is one of the factors. We should include a balanced amount of all types of food. We
should make sure we get abundant amount of nutrition for our body. It prevents many chronic
diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and more. These are caused by uncontrolled intake of
certain foods. Therefore, it is important to maintain a healthy diet.
Exercising is also a factor. We need to exercise regularly to make sure that all our muscles are active.
Exercising helps in reducing excess proteins and fats. It helps in increasing the blood flow resulting in
well working of the heart. It is an efficient way to reducing weight and strengthening bones. It makes
carrying out everyday activities easier.
Keeping clean is also important. Hygiene is something that is a must. Keeping our surroundings and
ourselves clean helps us prevent bacteria. It reduces the risk of communicable diseases.
Getting enough sleep is also important when looking after ourselves because we need to
enough mind rest for our brain to function well and it is when our body relaxes and prepares
for that next day.
Looking after ourselves or self-care has a positive effect on our health and outlook. It requires
commitment. It is a choice that an individual can make to proactively take care of themselves
and it tends to be worth of time an any money you spend.
