¿WHEN WAS SHE BORN?
Frida Kahlo was born on July 6 1907 in Coyocan Mexico City, México, where was
later referred to as the blue House. She had two older sister and one younger
sister. She didn't have a great health in her childhood. She contracted polio at the
age of 6 and had to be bedridden for nine months. This disease caused her right
leg and foot to grow much thinner than her left one.
¿WHO WAS HER HUSBAND?
Husband of Frida Kahlo was Diego Rivera.
He was a painter.
He was famous for political paintings.
He was a Mexican muralist.
They got married in 1929.
HIS MOST IMPORTANT PAINTING
The two Fridas, 1939.
This painting was completed shortly after her divorce with Diego Rivera. This
portrait shows Frida's two different personalities. One is the traditional Frida in
Tehuana costume, with a broken heart, sitting next to an independent, modern
dressed Frida.
¿WHAT DISEASE WAS SHE HAVE?
This disease caused her right leg and foot to grow much thinner than her left one.
She limped after she recovered from polio. She has been wearing long skirts to
cover that for the rest of her life.
WHEN SHE DID DIE?
Frida Kahlo did die on July 13 1954 in Mexico City, she had a lung disease, she
didn’t has a healthy life. Her body was presented at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.
