FREE WIFI METROS: FACILITY AT RAILWAY STATIONS/AIRPORTS/ Wi-Fi based Internet Facility has been provided at 5957 railway stations in the country till now. Indian Railway announced via Press release on 10.03.2021. RailTel has submitted a proposal to DoT for leveraging its network in rural India and its collaborative broadband services model to provide PM Wani-enabled community Wi-Fi services. Wi-Fi facility was already available at four major Metro stations Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has now launched free Wi-Fi facilities at metro stations that fall on Airport Express Line. Moreover, it has announced that it plans to roll out this facility to all metro stations gradually.
