2. Define these terms: origin, insertion, prime mover (agonist), antagonist, and antagonistic
pair.
Origin: The attachment of a muscle at the stationary end is its origin.
Insertion: The attachment of a muscle at its relatively moveable end is its insertion.
Prime Mover (agonist): The prime mover or agonist is the muscle producing the
most force in an action
Antagonist: The antagonist is a muscle that opposes or reverses the movement of the
prime mover
Antagonistic pair: An antagonistic pair is muscles acting on opposite sides of a joint.
