1. IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM:
 Community problem 1: Improper waste disposal and pollution
2. DESCRIBE THE PROBLEM BY ANALYZING IT:

Our environment has progressively been harmed by the garbage humans produce. Humans
produce too much waste and are unable to manage it sustainably. Garbage that commonly
cannot be adequately recycled and is not biodegradable. Because of this, improper trash
disposal is a big problem that affects many communities.
3. GIVE POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:



Recycle waste to consume natural resources
Educating people about proper waste disposal and tracking of waste reduction.
Ban unsustainable single-used items (ex. Plastics)
4. EXPLAIN EACH POSSIBLE SOLUTION ANG GIVE ITS ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES:
1. We can contribute to maintaining a clean environment and protecting our natural resources by
increasing our recycling practices. By doing this we conserve energy, reduces air and water pollution,
reduces greenhouse gases, and conserves natural resources. While it has its advantages there are also
disadvantages to recycling which is the products from recycled waste may not be durable and upfront
high capital costs. With this recycling has its limits and may not be a permanent solution.
2. The lack of knowledge where information about proper waste segregation is communicated to the
citizens is why this is important. It will change attitudes and perceptions and keep people motivated to
avoid and sort waste. By raising awareness and educating people about the issue, it can contribute to
overcoming the barrier and providing a solution. However, not all citizens will always abide by the rules.
3. Not only does banning single-use plastic reduce pollution, but it also reduces demand for plastic
production it doesn't only contribute to the community but for the global climate change as well.
Though, Items made of disposable plastic do not biodegrade. They merely disintegrate into minute
particles that pollute our environment and damage our water supplies and even our food.
5. CHOOSE THE BEST SOLUTION. JUSTIFY YOUR CHOICE:
 I select solution 2 over the others. Even though it has drawbacks, it is the best option to create a
bright future because, in situations where someone is knowledgeable about the topic, it can be
profitable. Thru teaching, raising awareness and motivation this will be ultimately translate into
a improved performance across key management and waste indicators.
6. EVALUATE THE POSSIBLE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE CHOSEN SOLUTION:
 The possible effectiveness of the chosen solution in scale of 1-10 would be 7, because it would
transition into pollution to environmental protection delivered by their knowledge. As long as all
will cooperate to the problem this would be much easier for everyone.
