WORD CLASS (PARTS OF SPEECH)
There are eight (8) parts of speech in the
English language. They are:
•Noun
•Pronoun
•Verb
•Adverb
•Adjective
•Preposition
•Conjunction
•Interjection
ADVERBS
An adverb is a word that describes a verb, an
adjective or another adverb.
ADVERBS
An adverb is a word that modifies or describes a
verb.
Example:
They
dress
beautifully.

Explanation: How do they dress?
They dress beautifully.
An adverb also describes an adjective.
Example:

Explanation:

EXAMPLES OF ADVERBS
Examples of adverbs are: loudly, gently, beautifully,
lazily, so, very, quite, yesterday, today, sadly,
