(At least 350 words) The role of dance I think can play in my life is that it may help me to be more active physically and do recreational activities because we know people can be more active, socialize, and improve creative and physical skills via dancing. Dancing benefits both physical and mental health by reducing the risk of falling, improving posture and flexibility, elevating mood, and reducing anxiety. While intellectuality improves our brain function and boosts memory. It benefits of dancing to the brain are numerous. According to Laguipo (2019), neuroplasticity can be improved by combining exercise and sensory enrichment while dancing. As a result, dance can be used to treat a variety of neurological conditions, including stroke, Parkinson's disease, and cerebral palsy. It is possible to keep motor, cognitive, and perceptual abilities in old age by keeping an active lifestyle. Moreover, in society, dance benefits in enhancing sensitivity, comprehension, appreciation, and consideration for others, both in terms of similarities and differences. Dance may expand a person’s horizons by introducing them to new individuals and assisting them in better relating to those they may encounter later in life as well as in their future vocations. Reduced stress, improved relaxation, stronger bones and muscles, weight control, and a healthier brain are just a few of the benefits of increased exercise dancing. I am not the type of person that will exercise regularly and commit to a diet for my health, I am a lazy person that prioritized only sitting or lying in a bed all day making my health prioritize last. So maybe, this subject course can help me to stop that toxic habit of mine and prioritize my health first. I am hoping dance can help me to enjoy and have a better version of me this year and make me stable physically and mentally. And, as we know nowadays, dance is a big part of humans’ life, especially on big occasions such as family gatherings, weddings, and community events. It has a big part also in indigenous people or ethnic groups because they have traditional rituals they always do with dancing.
