Malek Khalil New Testament Survey – CHST 1320-201 Dr. Stubblefield February 1, 2023 Prayer Life Reflection When I first started this course, I made a promise to myself that I would try my hardest to devote myself more to God and constantly ask for guidance and seek forgiveness. I believe that my prayer life has improved drastically since I’ve started implementing things that I’ve relearned from the textbook as well as from Praying with Paul. I made it a promise to not only pray for myself, but pray for family members, friends, and anyone who needs a prayer, who is having a struggle in their life that I believe that the Lord can help them overcome. When I started the first prayer reflection, I had told myself that I want to go back to a time when I was a child when I would pray in the morning and pray before going to sleep, that is one thing that I have been very active with thankfully and I feel like it has had a positive impact on my mental and spiritual health. Whenever there is a stressful moment in life, I try to take a deep breath and take a moment to truly pray and ask for guidance, sometimes it could be a brief 20 second prayer, while other times I will spend more time. This is still an everyday ‘struggle’ of mine of having to ask God for assistance and guidance, but I believe that I’m making a positive improvement in that. One thing that I try to realize that whatever struggle I or someone else is going through, it is something that can be helped through prayer. While yes, I could have a bad day, or have something significant happen to me, but at the end of the day ; it is part of God’s plan for me, so I try to ask for more guidance nowadays.
