Hello, my name is John Muir. The progressive Era is a time of rapid progress, but none is as important as my conservation works. I grew up in the western frontier and I witnessed firsthand the beauty of nature. I once hiked a thousand miles through Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee’s, Georgia, and Florida. I then took a boat and crossed the panama canal and ended up in san Francisco. The moment I laid eyes on California I know I’m willing to do whatever it takes to protect it. I’m nature’s biggest admirer. I am fundamental in establishing Yosemite National park and I am the leader of Sierra Club. My advocation started an era of conservation and I personally documented the wilderness through numerous writing. I also wrote all these transcendentalists writing about my travel through Australia, South America, and China. You might have heard of Theodore Roosevelt impressive conservation efforts, what you might not realize is that I’m the driving forced behind his progress. I want to build a future where there is public owned land for all to enjoy. Where big cooperation does not get to ruin the forest and the beauty of these mountains range. Where we control our own national treasure. Don’t you want to join me in the biggest revolution of our time? To protects these lands from the claws of the big guys? Looks at this branch I had in my hand, you might not care much about a stick of wood, but we are all interconnected. We as human depends on the great plains and the diverse flora and fauna that these lands have to offer. I urge you all to support all conservation efforts and carries on the establishment of national parks. Time is of the most essence, the urgency of this project will make this the most important progressive movement. I also have no doubt that if our resilient spirit continues, we will be able to build a sustainable future for our children and grandchildren. Just imagine, hundreds of years from now, city dwellers going out to a national park for a relaxing break?
