Ethafoam® plank is a reusable, resilient, high efficiency, low density polyethylene foam packaging
and cushioning material. This product has a broad loading range, making it ideal packaging for a
wide variety of today’s lighter weight, less fragile products.
Test Standard
Caution should be used when comparing cushioning data developed from procedures other than
this specific one (e.g. ASTM D 1596).
Use of Data
Factors such as design, fabrication technique, type of outer container, and package history (e.g.
storage conditions) may influence package performance. Sealed Air Corporation recommends that
