We live in a knowledge century. Earlier, growth of the nations
and civilizations, required resources such as money, material
and manpower. While all these still play a vital role, it is the
knowledge, information and the skills that separates winners
and winning organisations from the rest. Transformation is a
developmental process and it helps in being relevant and
contemporary. Over the time, we have observed many people
and organisations getting transformed for the better.
Transformation results in vitality, respect, importance and of
course, dependence. The only way to get transformed is
through learning. Thus, it is the attitude and readiness to learn
that facilitate transformation.
“LEARNING FOR TRANSFORMATION” is the theme for
INTERNATIONAL LEARNERS’ SUMMIT - 2022 (ILS 22) being
conceived and executed by Kochi chapter of Indian Society for
Training and Development (ISTD) in association with the Deen
Dayal Upadhyaya KAUSHAL Kendra (DDUKK) of the Cochin

University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) on 15 & 16 of
December 2022 at the Maria Philip Auditorium, XIME,
Kalamassery, Kochi. Spread over 2 days, the summit will begin
on 15th December with the inaugural function, followed by
technical sessions in the form of Keynote addresses & Panel
discussions on the day 2, ending with the Valedictory Address

on 16 December, partaken by eminent experts, scholars and
corporate personas.
The sub-themes for the Panel Discussion / Keynote Address
are: • Learning through Technology • Experiential Learning
• Leadership Learning & • Life Long Learning.
Additionally; ILS 22 will have concurrent and parallel sessions
for, 1. Paper presentation by short-listed scholars from
academia and corporate on the theme “Learning for
Transformation” and 2. “Champion Trainer - 2022” contest
for the aspirant trainers who register for the same.
