Every outstanding individual started with a vision that was seemingly out of reach. When
I think of these individuals I imagine the CEOs of large companies, who have the influence to
better the world. This is the vision and dream I have for my future. Many people might call this
goal far-fetched, but that is what makes it worthy of working for. If I am to achieve this dream
college is a must.
Though I am still young, I have grown as a person drastically over the past seven years.
As an early adolescent, I did not know who I was or what to focus my energy on. I scoured for
something that would give me an identity but found nothing that I truly felt passionate about.
Soon I found myself surrounded by other unambitious people. It was only when my dad
suggested that I apply to a private high school that this changed. To me, this was a glowing
opportunity to ameliorate my position and I did not waste it. In the following years, I found
like-minded friends who support and uplift me. I also discovered weightlifting and developed as
a student.
Attending university is a privilege that I will take full advantage of. This is an opportunity
that allows me to develop as an individual intellectually and prepares me for adversity in my
career. This scholarship would open the doors to affording to go to a university that would
support me in not only succeeding but excelling.
