The five body systems
The five body systems help us to move, eat, breathe…
In this document I teach you the five body systems and the functions, parts or types
of the systems.
The Locomotor system
The locomotor system is a system that is made up of bones, muscles and
joins. The locomotor system have a lot of joins, muscles and bones.Every of this
parts have different types.Types of joins, types of muscles and types of bones. The
types of bones are flat such as the sternum, short such as
the vertebrae and long such as femur. The types of muscles
are smooth are involuntary, skeletal are voluntary and
cardiac is involuntary muscle like a heart.Types of joints are
fixed such as those in skull, semi-flexible such as vertebrae
and flexible such as our hands. The functions are
movements, protects the organs, hold by upright.Brain
sends electrical signals to the locomotor system to move
thanks to motor neurons.
The Digestive system
The digestive system is very important because it helps our body
get enough nutrients from food for example to be able to play in
the park and especially to keep us healthy and strong. The
ingestion contains mouth, tongue, teeth and salivary glands. The
digestion only contains the stomach. The absorption contains the
liver, small intestine, large intestine and pancreas. The defecation
contains large intestine, rectum and anus. The propulsion only
contains the esophagus. The body cuts food into tiny pieces to be
absorbed by the cells, all this happens when you begin to chew the food, the teeth
do the function of crushing and reduce it to small portions, these portions when
swallowed go down through the esophagus and reach the stomach, from there they
pass to the small intestine, when the pieces of food run through it, they are
fragmenting more and more, thanks to the digestive juices manufactured by our
body, finally most of the food goes through another duct where it is fed to the cells.
The Respiratory system
The respiratory system is in charge of
breathing.Breathing take the oxygen from the
air and eliminate co2.Respiratory system is a
group of organs.Nose and mouth take the
oxygen go down through the trachea then go to
the bronchi and enters in lungs then go to the
bronchiole then in the alveoli exchange of
gasses 02 and nutrients produce energy.
The Circulatory system
The circulatory system is the responsible of supply
02 and nutrients to the body in heart beat to move
the blood. The organs of the circulatory system are
heart, arteries, blood, veins and capillary. The organs
of the pulmonary circulation are blood in the heart,
lungs and heart. The organs of the systemic
circulation are blood in the heart, rest of the body
and heart.
The Urinary system
The urinary system is the system
which produces the urine and sweat
glands which produce sweat.The
organs of the urinary system are
kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra,
the renal arteries carry blood to the
kidneys, the kidneys remove waste
products and any water, the renal
veins take the clean blood away from
the kidneys, the ureters take the urine
to the bladders and when the bladder
is full we know that we need to urinate
because the bladder send a
messenger to the brain, when we
urinate, urine leaves the bladder and
passes through the urethra and out of the body.
