INTRODUCTION (DEEPAK KIRYANA STORE)
Deepak Kirana store is a small local shop referred to us as a mom-and-Pop store and
convenience stores. It is close by Lovely Professional University's Law Gate in Jalandhar,
Punjab (India). To satisfy customers' fundamental requirements, this store offers a variety of
foods as well as everyday essentials including snacks, sanitary products, and other goods.
Most frequently, this business has all the necessities for customers. Since they only carry a
small selection of products, they do not provide the same special discounts or deals that a
supermarket or grocery shop could.

PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
51. Low Customer Attraction
• They have no notion how to increase clientele and diversify their clientele.
• They stop thinking large since they are content with their current clientele. The
growth of this sector is being hampered by this strategy.
• Contrary to department shops, Kirana store proprietors do not present customers with
alluring promotions. Furthermore, the sector's problems are being exacerbated by
poor consumer response, a lack of refund or replacement procedures, and new offers.
• Kirana store proprietors don't really care to wow the customers with their newest
product lineup, freebies, and season-ending sales.
• Consumers in the modern day have a wide variety of brands to pick from and exhibit
erratic purchasing habits.
52. Lack of Inventory Management
• Improper management of inventory.
• Lack in forecasting Demand of Certain product.
• Unable to provide product and the right time.
53. Poor Business Management
• In rural regions, Kirana stores are typically managed by families. The old generation
passes the stores down to the new.
• For years, the billing system, accounting procedures, and delivery procedures have
remained largely unchanged.
• The development choices for these stores are further constrained by their subpar
payment system, inadequate supply chain management, and lack of business acumen.
PROPOSED SOLUTION

•
•
•
In rural regions, Kirana stores are typically managed by families. The old generation
passes the stores down to the new. For years, the billing system, accounting
procedures, and delivery procedures have remained largely unchanged.
Store owners in Kirana could provide enticing promotions to draw clients. For all
Kirana business owners, it is one of the finest businesses advices. One-time offers,
gift cards, and consolation prizes are a few economical methods to engage
supermarket shoppers.
The development choices for these stores are further constrained by their inadequate
payment system, inadequate supply chain management, and lack of business acumen.
Business should have a digital presence in all the social networking sites.
Businesses should conduct effective advertisements in a particular area.
To assist customers in tracking their orders and informing about product availability,
they can develop an app.

BUSINESS STRATEGY
1. Brand Reusable Delivery Bag
•
Providing high-quality reusable delivery bags can also aid in increasing public
knowledge of your company. The brand character is embedded in the delivery bags
itself. The brand picture gets imprinted on the customer's mind when they use that bag
again. He begins to live with the brand. In this way, the delivery bags remind
customers of a positive shopping experience.
2. Sponsor a Local Event
•
The finest chance to advertise your company to a larger audience is through local
events. In certain places, local communities might participate in culinary festivals and
sporting events. Such activities can be sponsored, which will improve interaction with
the community. Additionally, you may actively take part in neighborhood events like
matches and festivals. One effective way to raise brand recognition and improve topof-the-funnel marketing is to sponsor local events.
3. Online Communities Specific to your Geography of Business
•
Online communities and groups are excellent places to interact with your consumers
directly. Through these online communities, you may learn more about the demands
and issues that consumers encounter as well as their way of life. You may modify
your company strategy and satisfy the needs of your customers with the aid of these
consumer insights. You may promote your company by hosting an event on Meetup,
attending events, joining online communities, and taking part in events. You can find
some of the best niche-specific groups on Facebook and Telegram.
4. Investment in Ads.
•
•
Investment in Ads may help reach Broder audience.
Google Ads can help You reach to a more targeted audience according to
geographical locations.
5. Encourage User Reviews on social media and App Store
•
The greatest approach to understand your business from the perspective of your
customers is through customer feedback. Customers might be encouraged to review
your company on social media and "pin" it. Additionally, you may request that your
clients leave reviews and ratings for your app in the app store. Your company will
rank higher in the app store as a result.
6. App Store Optimization
•
•
App store optimization is refining your mobile app's download page to gain a higher
position and exposure. App store ranking has grown quite competitive in recent years.
However, with the perfect balance of tactics, you can get your app to the top!
Look for keywords related to your food and grocery delivery service. (You may
xii
•
conduct keyword research with Google Keyword Planner.)
Include the keywords in your content and on the app store's backend. To improve
downloads on your app store page, make sure the material is fascinating to read and
that you do not fill the keywords. Also, include bright photographs and videos.
(Ranjan, 2022)
FUTURE RECOMMENDATIONS
•
The pandemic has clearly caused global disruption, but it also altered the corporate
sector, owing to technical advances that have enabled it. Every business, including
retail, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and entertainment, wants to integrate ondemand technologies to improve the shopping experience and improve consumer
services.
1. Gathering Information
• Gathering Customer information will help them target their brand at right place and
right audience, collecting information from your clients is one of the many advantages
of on-demand apps. Using data from the app, you may analyze your consumers'
buying habits and changing wants. It also helps you grow revenue and improve
service. The need for grocery applications is increasing as more people choose online
shopping.
• The supermarket mobile app may collect data such as the most popular goods among
clients, commonly used payment methods, and their likes and dislikes. With this
information, you may obtain a sense of the customer's wants and options and make an
informed decision.
2. Brand Awareness
• Brand awareness is essential for every firm to survive and thrive. On-demand mobile
apps enable you to avoid bottlenecks and extend your business globally. As a result,
your grocery store firm might emerge as a trustworthy brand. It is critical for your
business to establish trust, and the app allows you to do so.
3. Reducing Costs and Providing Discounts
• The retail store must first increase app traffic to reap more and more benefits;
additionally, the store must hire the best employees for running an offline backend
operation, grocery store, which can be difficult; however, if the store has a reliable,
fully featured, expandable grocery delivery app, you can reduce your overheads in a
few years.
• Store must engage and pay enough finances to grocery app development businesses.
However, in the future, all you'll have to pay the corporation is for maintenance and
support, which is a little fee. Thus, this may help to reduce the cost of back and frontend operations and as well as may help in offering more discounts.
