AUTOPILOT SELF-DRIVING VEHICLE
TECHNOLOGY
Abstract:
Autopilot self driving vehicles are capable of sensing its environment and drive
the vehicles on its own without human interventions. It contains sensors like
Ultrasonic sensor, radar, image sensor, GPS, camera etc. Self Driving vehicles do
Object detection and recognition, lane detection etc using Artificial Intelligence
and Machine Learning for decision making while driving the vehicle. 94% of
accidents are caused by human error so Self driving vehicles can prevent
accidents. People with disability can drive these vehicles easily and they no need
to hire a driver. It ensures road safety and reduce traffic congestion. Organizations
like Google, Tesla, Benz etc are aggressively working on this technology and
enhancing it from time to time to change the way we travel by ensuring safety.
