Loboda Alexandra 309/1 Megamind and outstanding deduction skills: a curse or a blessing? In our world there are people whose talents, inclinations and abilities are superior to others. Usually they are called gifted or masterminds. The development of such people is faster and usually these people become either famous, or rich, or even scientists. But is such a “gift” always only useful? It’s apparent that Sherlock has an outstanding deduction skills. He is able to learn a lot about a person just by looking at him/ her, whether it's a torn off button or an unironed shirt, or just picking up your phone for a couple of minutes and find out everything about your relationship with relatives. The surveillance and thinking through helps him make conclusion. With the help of his megamind, Sherlock investigates various cases. He has his own private detective agency, but the police also often turn to him for help on a freelance basis. Yes, of course, these deductive abilities are very useful, they help to crack a most complex cases, but everything has the other side of the coin. Because of these abilities, Sherlock is considered strange or even a drug addict. Ordinary people feel awkward, uncomfortable or even dull after meeting Sherlock. In other words, Sherlock's deductive powers repel people, making him lonely. Summing up all of the above, I want to say that megamind and outstanding deduction skills and curse and blessing. I want to add that if they are used correctly, they can only become a gift. If you do not analyze people aloud, keeping up appearances and be discreet and modest enough, then you can calmly compensate for all the shortcomings.
