Week 3 Reflection Paper

Natural resources have been an important asset to our societies nowadays. I
personally see it as a gift from Earth which provided us significant use that is
irreplaceable to our lives. As air, water, radioactive waste, and global warming that
causes the loss of natural resource, it is impacting humankind and organisms
worldwide.
Water supply reduction has been the factor I concern most about. It is common fact
that water is an essential part of our lives. According to Odessa-Texas. gov, the
average US household water leak account for 10,00 gallon per year. People tend to
see water as an infinite resource since it exists everywhere, and water made up about
70% of the planet. Normally we only think of water to keep body function but water
have much more usage than that. Fertilizations on farm products need water for
irritation to grow and people need food to eat from that. Agriculture is in fact one of
the biggest water consume in all water usage worldwide. People also need water for
cleanse such as shower, toilet, and house chores. Seafood, poultry, or any meat we eat
requires water to raise. Another important usage of water is thermoelectric power.
Water is used to cool down these electric machines when they are heated meaning that
they will not function without water. Basically, humankind will not survive without
water and therefore this is the most significant natural resource in my opinion.
We need to conserve water to sustain our lives because it is so important. Although
there are large portion of water, not all of it can be used. People need to take it more
seriously and need to think further to prepare to the next generation to survive.
