1. SELECTING A SAMPLE
a. Sampling from a finite population allows one to make valid statistical inferences
about the population
b. The simplest type of probability sample is one in which each sample of size n has
the same probability of being selected.
c. Simple random sample: a sample selected such that each possible sample of
sizde n has the same probability of being selected
