Genamin® D 01/2000 is a diamine based on polypropylene glycol with an average molecular mass of 2000 g/mol. Thus, Genamin® D01/2000 is a hydrophobic building block and is used as reactive component and/or curing agent in various applications. Product specifications Applications Polyurea sprays & isocyanatefree polyurethanes Polyamide & epoxy adhesives Epoxy coatings Product properties Benefits High primary amine value, i.e. high AHEW (amine hydrogen equivalent weight) > assures robustness of end-product due to high crosslinking density Low viscosity > improves flow & levelling Narrow molecular weight distribution > enables to reach high quality standards Hydrophobic diamine > increases water resistance High molecular weight polyether backbone > improves flexibility and toughness > increases peel strength Moderate reactivity > optimizes open-time of epoxy formulations Low water content > less side-reactions during synthesis > higher purity of end-products Very low color > reduces yellowing effects in coatings Elastomers, thermoplastics & coatings Composition Polypropylene glycol ether diamine Molecular weight approx. 2000 g/mol AHEW approx. 500 g/eq.
