How often do we initially respond to God’s prodding with fear (i.e., fear of failure, fear of being uncomfortable, fear of being “that person”)? How can we overcome this fear to be obedient to God’s calling? 3) Which of the above responses to the Good News stands out to you the most? Is there one (or more) response that you need to focus on the most during this Christmas season? Relentless LBS 12/20/2015 Announcements • Christmas Eve service for the Downtown campus is serving Open Door Mission: a Christian facility providing shelter, rehabilitation, support and counseling for homeless men in Houston. There will be a traditional service at 2 pm in their campus chapel. At 4pm, dinner will be served, and we will be serving the community! We would love to have you join us! All ages are welcome! If you are planning on helping serve the meal, please register at HoustonsFirst.org/Downtown. • NO LBS Class on Sunday December 27th! • LBS classes will now be helping out by serving in the Preschool ministry (ages birthKindergarten). There is a great need of volunteers, especially in the 11am hour, so we as a class will be part of a regular serving rotation. Since there are 11 classes at the 9:15 hour, we will serve once every 11 weeks. Our first morning of service will be Sunday January 17, 2016. You must be a HFBC member and complete a NextGen Volunteer application! If you already serve in the Preschool ministry on a regular basis, this will not replace that. Please continue your regular service duties as usual. The registration deadline is Friday January 15th. • Friday January 29th - Midnight Madness! Midnight Madness is our annual Life Bible Study leadership training.
