The criteria consist of a range of factors including race, ethnicity, gender, educational background, geographic background, and personal interests. All elements are selfreported. The diversity criteria served as the basis for the algorithm developed in partnership with Monarchy Technology for their Regency III screening software. In addition to the criteria, additional AI features were developed by Monarchy including facial recognition aimed at measuring confidence in response, as well as language analysis aimed at determining sentiment and emotion in applicant responses. The algorithm looks for a match to desired diversity in trait combinations. The data demonstrates a significant decrease in diversity within our hiring after the implementation of Regency III. Last year, we achieved a 56% alignment with the diversity criteria in new hires. This year, after the implementation of Regency III, the measure fell to 24%. We are unsure at this time as to the reason for the decrease other than it is a result of using Regency III. We recommend an immediate halt to the use of Regency III.
