Although teachers across the globe were expected to demonstrate the required competences in teaching, they still possess uniqueness that made them different from others. For instance, comparing Filipino teachers in ASEAN teachers and beyond. We knew that international teachers were already exposed in modernization compared to Filipino teachers. They already gained and continuously upgrading their skills to provide a quality of teaching to their students. However, not all of them possess the good qualities of a teacher that most Filipino teachers already have. When it comes to emotional aspect, Filipino teachers are more affectionate to their students. They were able to compartmentalize their problems and are excellent in managing their emotions. Despite the load of works and duties they have to handle, their diligence and passion in teaching students remain firm. In the aspect of competency, Filipino teachers have better English communication skills. They work hard to improve themselves to respond to the demands of changes in educational system to provide a quality of education to their students. They have better patience when it comes to teaching students with behavioral issues. Filipino teachers are also good at playing the role of various professions: it could be a nurse, a coach, a singer, an engineer, just to name a few. Naming and remembering the good qualities of Filipino teachers will make us appreciate them even more. These are the reason why they deserve to be respected and must be paid with adequate salary.
