I did an internship at Kazakh British Technical University in the department of the development of additional education. KBTU is one of the best technical universities in our country which has 6 faculties. Our department in the university provides additional courses to the new students or magistrates such as STEP or CT. STEP is an online English course, which is completed 3 weeks without weekends and contains 4 levels such as elementary, PreIntermediate, Intermediate and Upper- Intermediate. Each group uses 4 skills: speaking, writing, listening and reading. After completing the course, enrollee has an opportunity of liberation from KILET( English test to pass KBTU university). In order to get a certificate of liberation, students should be active in the class and do all their homework. Also, our department provides courses to prepare for CT( complex testing). I worked as a manager, who is responsible for the activity of these 2 courses. Also, I had a great opportunity to help and work with experienced managers in organising the 7th conference of the KBTU. It comforts me to improve my organisational abilities such as teamwork, communication, commitment and talents. The main aim of my project was to find the right methodology for the projects in the university such as Step, KT. In this report, I will compare two methodologies of Agile such as Scrum and Kanban and choose one of them, which will best suit our department courses . Within my study Management I was interested in university projects and responsibilities of my sphere. It was a great chance for me to do a 2 month internship and see how managers refer to their job in real life. At the beginning of my internship, I had many aims to develop knowledge and skills as a manager and plan my work correctly. I wanted to learn discipline, manage time and complete tasks perfectly. Several activities in the university have contributed to accomplish some goals. I had made a consultation in the inspection board to the students about courses in the university, which obviously helps to enrich my communication skills. Next, I entirely participated in the 7th conference of the university, which really helps me meet, listen to the advice of successful people in my future sphere. It motivates me to organise this whole project. And I have noticed how a manager's job is important, hard, responsible and interesting. In my last activity, I helped the managers organise course STEP and observe some problems in the system of this course. Actually, the internship was a beneficial experience. I have found my weakness and strength as a manager, gained new skills and knowledge and met with successful people. I got insight into the job as manager. It helps me work with different people, and share my knowledge and ideas. Internship gives me inspiration to pursue a career in management. For my future career, I should express myself clearly and present my ideas confidently. In the introduction, I will discuss the problem statement and its background, purpose of my internship and project, the outline and objective of my project. In the main body, I will write an analysis of the university and the solution of the problem. In the end, I will write a recommendation to the university. 1 Introduction Nowadays, it is clear that at university a new generation studies with their particular skills and abilities. It is obvious that there should be some requirements changed from the past generation in not only university, but also in the school program. Activities and methodologies of planning, teaching in university must be adapted with current trends. Traditionally, universities and schools prefer to use Waterfall or Vee models in the organizing project. However, it is not clear how the planning your project. Later, it was proved that Agile methodology is more effective and it can be used in challenging, complex and hard projects. Furthermore, it can affect the success of teamwork. According to the Wrike article, Waterfall project management is the easiest and straightforward way of managing your project. It maps out phases, in order to forward new phases, you should complete the previous phase. Each member will have their own role and their goals set linearly.(Wrike,2019) However, Jana Poscova made an experiment about which of them was more effective and made some questionnaires for the students. The result was indicated that agile methodology has more efficient value in the education process. It offers the impact of teaching and studying by agile methodology gives more improvements in student’s concentration.(Jana Pocsova, 2020) Problem statement As briefly described, there are many methodologies to complete project in the university such as STEP, CT or conferences. But to find the right methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and Kanban for the students nowadays is a huge problem at every university right now. It is still a question which methodology is more effective and attractive to the education process. Each methodology has its own role in managing projects. However, it is hard to identify which of them to use. Identifying right methodologies in the organisation may help to save time, money and quality of the educational process planning. Which methodology is more flexible to fast work and improve teamwork skills. Every organisation and university should take account of every aspect of the situation and choose the right methodology to increase effectiveness. Problem background In recent years, the university has started to study students of the new generation( it is called Generation Z - person, who were born from 1995 to 2012). Generation Z students have a large amount level of skills, abilities and knowledge, also completing the work in the computer for them is faster and easier. According to Marcie Merriman, Generation Z has more ability to learn ICT, on the other hand, they have a problem to organise, systematise, evaluate this information critically and utilise it. (Jana Poscova, 2020) She also confirms that Generation Z is better at creating contacts with other people, communicating skills, exchanging their opinions, ideas, and completing the task by teamwork and they have improved their soft skills. Moreover, these prosperities are crucial and useful in the current industrial activities. In order to enrich the quality of skills and knowledge taken in the 2 educational process, all the assumptions of this generation of students should be considered in the planning process. Purpose of the internship ● ● ● ● ● Actually the purpose of university's internship gain experience from specific fields. My purpose in summer internship is to receive real experience and improve my management skills Second purpose of my internship is develop professionalism as a manager at workplace, improve leadership and soft skills. According to a Linkedin Skills report, nowadays 57% of companies need soft skills workers rather than technical ones.(Linkedin Skills, 2018) In the internship, soft skills like problem-solving, decision making, teamwork, and communication can be implemented in the practice. Internship in the summer can help to build my resume. It will be effortless to find a job after graduation, this is because a lot of companies or organizations want to hire employees with some work experience. Another purpose of my internship is to analyze my strong side and weak side as a worker. It helps to work with your weakness in the future and not make this mistake in future work. In my internship, I have the opportunity to meet with experienced people and learn, and ask them a lot of information about jobs. Also, the purpose is to observe their role and learn positive and negative sides of them. Purpose of the project In completing the project, I have 5 main purposes. ● To change the traditional method of planning into Agile methodology. ● To provide effective teamwork program in the department ● Comparison between two methods of Agile such as SCRUM or Kanban. And find, which is useful for the course STEP ● Manage the risk which may occur, when implementing the Agile methodology into the department ● Simplify the work processes of the course STEP According to the Zenkit Blog, 95% of successful companies use Agile methodology of planning. This is because it differentiates pd from other methods with flexibility of the work. (Zenkit, 2018) Moreover, it is better for the teams, this is because this method is effective for the self organising teams with cross- functional. My purpose is to fully implement this method, this is because in Agile customer satisfaction is in number one place. Objectives of my project According to Jim Woodruff, setting objectives in any project has a main role. He also confirms that a project without an objective is like a car without a destination and a map.(Jim Woodruff, 2019) Objectives are crucial because they convert all visions into measurable aims. He wrote that there are 5 main importance of objectives:it creates direction, motivates workers, standards can be established, it helps to set your budget and it improves project structure plan. There are my project’s objectives: ● Improve the attractiveness and efficiency of the educational process ● Increase student's soft skills 3 ● ● ● ● Reduce the number of unmotivated students Development their activity Increase the level of teamwork in my department Decrease and manage the level of risks, which may occur in the department Project charter Project name SCRUM methodology find the right methodology to the projects in the university such as STEP, CT. Actually, it divides into two factors such as internal and external. Internal factors are strength and weakness, which contains Human Resources, current processes, financial resources and physical resources. However, external factors are threats and opportunities, which contain economic trends, regulation of economy, market trends and regulation of politics. Strength is a factor, which diversifies the organisation from their competitors. It means that it contains only positive traits: for instance, customer base will be loyal, brand image is strong enough, technology is modern and unique. By this way you can identify USP(Unique Selling Proposition), which absolutely form the strong side of the company, and it helps to be number one through your competitors. For example, the USP of the department is of course STEP. This is because students will buy it, sometimes not to learn English, but to not pass the KBTU exam of KBTU. Weakness is a factor, which makes you feeble and decreases the development of your organisation. By identifying the weak side, pressure on the organisation grows and controls all weak points of it. It helps to improve some areas of the company to be better and gain more customer satisfaction. It is back to front of strength such as the capital of organisation unstable, it decreases the brand value of organisation. Opportunities are factors, which contain the benefit of the organisation. To actively exploit a company’s opportunities, organisations must analyze and identify them. It provides tactics, which may help organisations in the future become powerful and edge. Threats are factors, which negatively impact the organisation from outside. Actually, it is a problem with supply chain, shifting requirements of the market, and government laws. Moreover, the organisation cannot control it, because it happens outside of the organisation. According to the DLT Labs, there are many advantages of SWOT analysis. It confirms that SWOT Analysis helps organisations see current status in the business and measure their performance on it. Secondly, it helps organisations analyze their strong side and reach their target in the future. Thirdly, it helps to identify the weak side of the organisation and improve on it. DLT labs ratify that if company understand their negative and positive effect to the organisation, this information assist to the business be active by appropriate actions. It shows the attractiveness and uniqueness of a special product or market in the industry. Actually, it is the business plan of the market in which business absolutely operates it. It helps businesses run and formulate it with several strategies. Moreover, with several factors, it is effortless to begin your business. According to the Pestel Analysis contributor, there are 7 main dimensions of the market and those dimensions perform analysis. These things really help to the organisation understand where to operate your business in better way.(Pestel Analysis Contributor,2015) 1. Market size In marketing analysis market size is one of the key factors. This is because, if a business has a larger market, it means that it has larger competitors. In a larger market, organisations should be sure about the quality of the product. Otherwise, clients can switch to the other product easily. If your organisation sets the price too high, it means that you lose your clients base. If the organisation will set the cost too law, customers may think that it is a law quality product. ● Market size of STEP Is very low. This is because it will be in one month only two times. However, our department can develop it. The price for course is ideal, because student will feel the university system. 1. Grow rate of the market Grow rate is an important factor in every market. This is because it shows how long your market will be in trend. ● The Growth rate of STEP is very high. Because, it will increase the size of the course and it is an additional course of the university. The Growth rate of the STEP depends on the popularity of KBTU and students who don’t know the language. According to the WENR, kids and school students who learn English increased 10.8 percent annually, which may be one of the problem of course STEP 1. Market trends 10 Market trends help the organisation identify what kind of product is actually to sell by the world trends. It is crucial to follow all trends. ● Market trend of STEP is online. During the COVID-19 it helps to take a lot of students. 1. Market Profitability Every business goal is to make profit. Profit motivates all employees to organise in high quality. ● STEP is a profitable course. As I wrote before in SWOT analysis, the strength of the STEP is law expense and a stable amount of clients. 1. Key Success Factors It helps the organisation reach for great success. Such elements are required to overcome the competition ● Technology of the KBTU is very improved and only highly qualified professors are key success factors of STEP. 1. Distribution Channel Distribution channel is the connection between customer and organisation. It is a way how your customer will know about you. ● Distribution channel of the STEP is KBTU cite and MS teams. 1. Industry Cost Structure It means how much money your business needs to sell the product. ● The cost structure is very law, this is because it will be online and it needs few resources to start. Strategic analysis of departments Strategic analysis is about how process of operating environment activities. According to the CFI(Corporate Finance Institution), There are 3 factors of strategic analysis(CFI education, 2015) Defining mission, vision, external environments Porter’s five analysis, Swot analysis Evaluate company strategy VISION OF DEPARTMENTS- To increase the level of education by seminars, courses, trainings Mission of Departments- To enhance the professional improvement of employee by growing their career. Departments Structure: Head of Additional Education Manager who is responsible for MBA Manager who is responsible for seminars Manager who is responsible for STEP Director of both Departments Head of Business Development service Manager 11 PORTER’s Five Forces It is one of the most used strategy today, it is way for organization focus on difficulties and create from them opportunity. Therefore, every business should make some innovation to gain higher profit. It provides opportunity to be more competitive than others. Porter’s 5 forces of STEP: Bargaining power of entrance is relatively high. This is because: Brand identity High competition. Nowadays, there are a lot of online English cources Switching prices Economy of scale Bargaining power of suppliers: Differentition of inputs Concentration Importance the amount of suppliers Bargaining power of customers: Expensive The system of ordering Customer profit Substitutes Switching prices Propensity of customers Competitors Difference of the course Corporate stakes Identity of the brand 12 SECTION 2 An idea Project undertaken Nature of my job: In my internship, I worked in the KBTU, there are several departments and it was a great experience for me to gain practical knowledge. I have worked in the 2 departments as a manager assistant of course STEP. My responsibilities: Call and collect students for STEP Make consultation Collect their documents and payment of student in the one file Open WhatsApp (social media) group Organize platform Teams Manage their lessons Help to the workers with conference or meetings Write protocols about meetings Organize meetings and conference My key responsibility was to organize and help to the course STEP. And during my internship I have noticed several difficulties of this course. For example: it was hard for student order the course it was hard to understand the course material it was time consuming to call every student and discuss with them the system of education wasn’t effective professor tought students with traditional methods the system of planning of conference was incomprehensible there was difficulties with teamwork And in whole internship, I was looking for solution of these problems. I found a lot of materials and collect best suited one for my organization. For example, in the project management, we studied about effective way of planning methods such as Agile, Scrum or Kanban. I observed is this kind of planning is effective way of course teaching. And my objective was not only use it in the course STEP, but also in the all universities and schools in the Kazakhstan. I found Jana Poscova research, who was implemented SCRUM teaching in the engineering course and I was surprised with the result of her research (Jana Poscova, 2020) I found a lot of research about Pakistan schools which implement Agile methodology and thought that it will be effective way of solving problems In Jana Poscova research, she found that nowadays every organization need soft skills, rather than hard skills. She confirms that every universities and schools in modern 21st centuary, should focus on abilities such as use computer, communication skills, create good atmosphere at work , activities of planning, analytically thinking, creativity, skills such as personel, and solve some little problems. 13 Therefore, every university should focus on activities, which is not traditional. In result, graduates of the university, after graduation will find job effortlessly, and grow professionally faster. And she observed Development of employees and found that soft skills are more important. For this reason, professors should change methods of teaching. The result is: And she made some questionnaire from 143 students and compare results of both methods of teaching As a result we can see that, the percentage of active students is increased approximately 42,7% and in my opinion huge impact. By Scrum method students begin to actively participate, do homework in time and start to better learn new topics. And it is clear shown that passive students in the class decreased nearly 18,2% in the class. It is a fact that in the class may has got only one student who participate actively and by using Scrum methodology the only one student activity reduced for 24,6% By this research, I can totally say that Scrum methodology is more effective way of teaching and planning lesson. SCRUM methodoly in STEP. How it will work? In recent years, students begin to study just theoretical, but not practical. The World Economic Forum confirms that nowadays universities don't improve needed skills for practise. Scrum methodology helps to improve necessary skills. It was created by Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber, the name comes from a sport called rugby, which means 14 teamwork and team with clear aim. The SCRUM is divided into 3 groups: Roles, Artifacts, Ceremonies. (World Economic Forum, 2016) SCRUM has 3 Roles: ● Product owner- is the vision of the product and its success. Product owner is responsible for communication with the customer and team. ● SCRUM master- is responsible for an effective team and helps to reach their goal. ● Development team- each member of team will participate in final product, and they will share with each other ideas, skills and knowledges In SCRUM has threes artefacts: ● Product backlog- items which helps to achieve a goal ● Sprint backlog- is items which selected from previous one ● Increment- ended product backlog during Sprint It is clear that SCRUM methodology has 5 ceremonies: ● Sprint- timebox, which team should achieve their goals ● Sprint planning - Sprint backlog will be planned ● Daily Scrum- day before of beginning, team discuss all problems and plans ● Sprint review- review of Increments ● Sprint Retrospective-getting feedback to the next SPRINT Agile method of teaching expands day by day, 58% of schools use modernise Scrum approach for studying. It helps to develop processes and context of learning, this is because it has fixed time, plan is detailed, divides into teams and has got feedback from students. By implementing Agile methodology to the university, students can benefit from additional knowledge, skills with several experience of management. This will develop the student's practical side rather than theoretical. In practice, the whole team will be evaluated, as all are responsible for ending the final product. Also in practice, there is a fixed time for teams, which they need to solve problems and issues. 15 Reasons of implementing Agile methodology to the education There are several reasons of implementing Agile methodology into education such as for practice requirements , Generation z characteristics and also: ● Developing attractiveness and efficiency of the educational process ● Development of communications with teams ● Improvement of soft skills ● Development of student activity when they communicate face to face ● Involvement of all team members into solving problems and tasks ● Reduce the amount of failed students In implementing Scrum methodology into university there are things, which play important roles such as division into teams, effective activity inside team communication between teachers and students. It is clear that only several characteristics of students will participate during the lecture. The reasons can be lack of knowledge, students can’t express their opinions and ideas, temperament and personality of student. These problems can be solved with effective teams. Another reason is attention for just several students and a more efficient way of managing education. From a student's opinion, Agile helps to develop soft skills such as teamwork, communication, management of their time and problem solving comprehensively. System of SCRUM education Method of teaching English in STEP divided into 3 basics such as Home learning, Lectures and Exercise. Lectures are taught by standard methods. Home learning is individual work for every student utilising additional resources and materials such as video, presentations and problem solving of simulations. The last In EXERCISE will be implemented using Agile methodology. The system proceeds in the figure. It is given that home learning and lecture are standard, however Agile methodology was implemented in EXERCISE. 16 Teacher will be Product owner or partly in some cases Scrum Master, and each member of a team is spokesperson and has certain responsibilities and roles of the Scrum Master. Each team will have 5 members and has one leader who best knows English. This team will be for the whole semester 3 weeks, which attempts to not change team members until the end. If there is a problem with the team, this is because the team can be dysfunctional and not support each other. In this case, students can go independently and identify problems by themselves. Product Backlog will be content of the English course, skills and knowledge which students can acquire. The Sprint Backlog has each member’s Module content. In Scrum, every team uses a User story, which contains criteria of acceptance. Thus, User Stories will move to the task system. The system will follow the tasks that are solved by the team and divided into several examples. The acceptance criteria is told by the professor at the beginning of the course. Professor will require tasks during the course, and at the end of each module, teams and students will show their knowledge for the Increment. As mentioned above, the content of each member is Module. Each of Exercise in the module will be a Sprint. And it will be adapted to topics that give the professor and its assessment. For instance, Module 1 and Module 3 end with a presentation, Module 2 and Module 4 will end with a written exam. Initialisation of first phase: Professor- introduce course schedule, teaching method, and criteria of acceptance Student- cooperation with professor, divide into teams Module 1 and 4: Every exercise will be considered by Daily Scrum in the beginning, the professor will discuss with students what the problem was in the team and solve them. In every Spring has Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Review and Implementation ● Sprint of planning Professor- gives tasks, which student should know about it after ending Module Student- study plan for professor given module ● Sprint Implementation Professor- consult and mentor each team Student- teamwork, solving tasks and learning ● Sprint Review Professor- written examinations, group presentations Student- participate in written exam and presentations ● Sprint Perspective Professor- completion of the teamwork, assess and evaluate teams Student - result of their course, certification After that I observed Agile methodology overall, the researches about how it affect in the relationships, how it affect in problem solving. And Questionaires to the employees, which show the positive impact in working place. I write it in my report, this is because, it can proof that Agile method of planning is better in real life experience. So, there are some Pakistan observations and result of questionnaires. 17 Agile Methodology Many initiatives do not finish their project due to a lack of an appropriate project management approach. The main purpose of this article is helping you choose and execute a management approach that fits your project team's needs. The major benefit of this technique is that it combines the project team's connections and motivation in the process of implementing the agile methodology. The implementation strategy chosen was to go all-in on public exhibition. It took 8 weeks, or three sprints, to complete the project. (Rasnacis & Berzisa, 2017). Scrum was the foundation of the fundamental project management approach. After six months, an employee analysis was performed to see if the outcomes had changed. Figure 1 depicts the growth in the following steps and how it increased rapidly, as evidenced by the graph of formal relationships, which shows evidence how formality of relationship is beneficial to collaboration. However it is obvious that using agile techniques has a lot of benefits, recent research has revealed that there are a lot of issues that might arise while using this style. Because this approach was designed for a limited audience of 10-16 individuals, they picked the agile methodology's fundamental model. Additional aspects in the analysis can aid in the adoption of the Agile Project Management approach. A lot of major corporations recognized initiatives that encountered problems in their everyday operations. As a result, instead of using the traditional management methods, managers utilize innovative agile management approaches to improve project efficacy. The purpose of this inquiry was to determine how agile management will influence organizational performance. The IT industry in Pakistan was chosen for this study since it is where productivity gains have been demonstrated. To assess the impact, the researchers inserted a project difficulty clause. Because their prior study revealed that the human 18 component, namely the function of leadership characteristics, is linked for adoption of new classes, which include objectives of the project.(Muhammed, 2021) Before previously stated, the research included 1,800 IT businesses in Pakistan, and data was collected at the same time from each of them. To identify the target audience, a cluster method was employed. Because there were five clusters, the cluster samples were chosen based on the number of firms in each province. Several variables in the survey questionnaire, such as overall complexity, efficacy, and so on, were determined using scales from the techniques of other researchers. Wild information from respondents, such as ethnicity, illness, and other ethical problems, was not sought at the time of data collection. At the conclusion of the survey, 190 replies were received. The mistake of no answer might impact the survey's final outcome because 7% of responses were not accepted. People who took the survey were separated by age, organization location, and job status, and equally proportionate responses were utilized. According to recent research, this approach has a negative influence on project complexity. This conclusion was compared to the findings of other research, and comparable results were found, implying that agile approaches minimize project complexity. This technique allows leaders to anticipate tasks ahead of time. The project's complexity, in turn, has a bad impact on the project's productivity. If the project manager is hesitant or confused about the project, it might result in financial losses or delays. The potential that projects using agile techniques under the direction of a leader can be effective has emerged from the premise that leadership characteristics. A study is being carried out to see how circumstances and project employees in software companies impact agile methods. Only 39 percent of projects that employed agile techniques were successful, according to success criteria, with the other 61 percent labeled as challenging or failed. Because the software's quality isn't flawless, agile methods are utilized. The study was carried out in order to make the best judgments possible about the practice of agile, and this type of model assesses the influence of various aspects on product’s quality. Survey created to the Ecuadorian businesses and educational courses, which utilize methods of Agile. Practice was collected from graduate students .It has many components such as rating of scale and question about influences of software . A test was conducted to ensure that the respondents' responses were correct and that the questions were comprehended. Errors were rectified throughout the verification phase in order to achieve an accurate survey result.(Arcos Medina, Mauricio, 2020) 19 The most favorably impacting element, as shown in Figure 1, is media, which has an impact on teamwork and project management. This demonstrates that communication has an impact on the efficacy of activities, and that communication style has an impact as well. The most significant detrimental influence on testing is stress. This might be due to a displeasure with the gap between expectations and reality, or it could be the outcome of a test. The validated survey and the model above were used in this study to illustrate how factors and agile methods interact. It was discovered which components had good and negative impacts. You can think of strategies to reduce negative rates and increase positive ones. Because only institutions and businesses familiar with this practice technique in one location participated in the study, you can try conducting the poll in different settings Due to ever-changing requirements, traditional businesses of logistics and startups attempt to enhance their versatility. The study's goal is seeing how they determine their demand with fexible way. Study of logistics firms and start-ups included numerous questions, as the researchers' main goal was to examine a low-density region. Given that they are typical firms, the flexible techniques that they really utilize, as well as an examination of the factors by which flexible methods are chosen. The benefits they want to achieve through these approaches come next, followed by the challenges they confront along the way. Both English and German were used in the poll. A Google form was utilized, which featured a 7-point scale. Scale 5 utilizes a much effortless response . 20 When matching the survey findings to prior publications, it is clear that logistics firms prefer agile methodologies other than Scrum and Kanban. In addition, the approach they employ adjusts to them. The second question asked of the respondents revealed that, despite the fact that firms think the techniques they employ are ineffective, in projects they proceed to utilize them .(Zielske and Held, 2021). I have one question, about the performance of teams and individual satisfaction when doing your project with Agile methodology. There are the questions that were asked in the survey: The topic of how collaboration affects productivity, how it affects team members' performance, and how these impacts differ between traditional and agile teams. The questionnaire included 76 CEOs, 78 product owners, and the remainder of the team members from 71 teams from 26 organizations. Some of the teams were surveyed in real time, while those that couldn't meet in person were mailed a poll. Scrum was utilized by several of the teams present, and they had daily meetings. Stand-up meetings were also held by the Kanban users' group. It was also noticed that individuals in some groups played multiple roles inside the group. Because each team utilizes different methodologies, all of the teams involved in the project may be called flexible.(Lindsjorn, 2016) According to the survey and analysis' findings, the quality of collaboration has an impact on productivity only when the performance is evaluated by team members. There will be no effect on performance if it is evaluated by management. The success of team members is also influenced by the level of collaboration. The rates are greater in a flexible survey than in a standard poll. 21 To summarize, the quality of teamwork is the most important aspect in the team's performance and output. However, there were a few minor issues that arose along the procedure. A team's efficacy and its product, for example, cannot coexist. One of them will have to be sacrificed.(Ahammad, 2021). Research investigates how development is utilized to improve performance of agility. Strategic flexibility is thought to help developing market firms exploit their possibilities and increase efficiency since many companies are seeking markets in the worldwide market to optimize their earnings. A survey was performed as part of the study, with 291 responses; but it decreased into 207 responses, this is because there were empty places in the survey. All personal information was private . Also, all respondents were divided into two groups: those who responded early and those who responded late to the poll. Large firms reacted considerably sooner than smaller companies, maybe owing to a fear of disclosing financial information. Five independent factors and one dependent variable, international effectiveness, were included in the research. To achieve strategic flexibility, research also discusses the different responsibilities of exploration and exploitation. The first allows you to gain strategic flexibility by discovering new goods and services, while the second allows you to adapt to consumer requirements. We envision strategic agility affecting foreign operations through exploitation and diversification, as previously indicated. Furthermore, operational flexibility enables businesses to remain adaptable to environmental dynamism, allowing them to preserve their competitive advantage. Project managers can strengthen their worldwide activities by investigating new services and products, according to the guidelines. Putting money into strategic flexibility can help you perform better in the market. It will necessitate financial inputs, however the finished result will be worthwhile. Agile Project Management In Teamwork In my internship, I has noticed that in the department teamwork is not used. For example, Our departments can use it in some IT projects or conferences such as the 7 Th conference of KBTU. So, in Aljas Store research is about effective way of teamwork in any sphere. In my opinion, it will really help to our department in organizing events and save time and money. 22 Agile project management's major goal is to plan, regulate, or arrange processes in technology or software products. Managing an IT project encompasses all tasks in Agile project management. The primary area of rising popularity of Agile project management in recent years, according to Aljas Store study, has been IT projects. (Aljas Store, 2014) The Agile manifesto was published in 2001, and the Agile technique quickly improved. He acknowledges that the efficiency of an IT project would be influenced by 4 factors of Agile project management, which differ from conventional techniques. 1)Requirements and Spеcification. Major objective of the component is incorporating critical functions of the project that have been created in collaboration with both the project team and the customer. In contrast to other variables, it is subject to modify during the project based on client satisfaction. 2)Schedule of Project. The whole project has broken down into parts and must be completed in no more than 7 weeks. Iteration of a project must be controlled from the start, with efficient tasks and methods defined. All test methods should be structured and created before the solution. 3) Role of team. The team responsible for the project's success may be impacted by effective execution. The team should look for fresh ideas and solutions to challenges that may arise during the project on a regular basis. In addition, team members should work in pairs. Furthermore, team members should share their faults and assist one another. Team members should debate future advancements and successful approaches after each iteration. 4) Client collaboration. Individuals from the team should actively engage with customers, answering their queries and providing project details. Each team member should contribute to the enhancement of test processes. Evaluate and suggest modifications on a regular basis. In conclusion, the Agile approach's four efforts may benefit both the project team and the client. The primary distinction between a traditional and an agile strategy is these four characteristics. Scrum, Kanban, and Hybrid are just a few Agile methods. Scrum is a methodology for organizing a project into tiny chunks that can be administered, planned, and done by a team.To increase job productivity teams usually use Kanban board. It will be divided into 3 sections: do, in progress, and done. This technique has the positive side of allowing team members to view the status of each project on the board. But, which of these approaches is able to enhance IT sector productivity? According to Howard Lei, the popularity of this methodology, rather than Waterfall or Vee, has risen substantially in recent years. In this article, the efficacy of both techniques in the IT sector is compared, and a brief description of each method is provided.(Howard Lei, 2017) 23 Impacts of Scrum and Kanban In last 1 month, I have noticed that our department are responsible for organizing events, meetings in the KBTU. And all managers are use KANBAN method of planning. And I had some questions about that. This is because, I know that there are 2 types of Agile planning methods: SCRUM and KANBAN. However, there was a problem which of them is more effective in planning Scrum Scrum is a philosophy that aims to improve the predictability of IT projects while also reducing risk. In this procedure, there are three major things to consider. For starters, everyone involved in the project can see the transparency. Second, inspection is the early detection of any fault. Last but not least, adaptation is used to minimize further difficulties arising from inappropriate or beyond the scope of the project. Members of the team should be multifunctional and self-organized. As a result, the team should be able to achieve their goal without the assistance of others. The backlog will be created during the process, and the team should divide it into Sprint Backlogs according to the due date, with the project being "DONE" at the conclusion. Kanban theory The Kanban is used in the next section to determine time and task has to be completed. The Kanban process reflects critical activities, which require the greatest attention, while also increasing project flexibility. The following are the key advantages of this method: ● Use little amount of backlog ● Less work is required ● Visualize 24 Which is more effective : SCRUM or Kanban? Projects are similar in that they both take into consideration project scope, are Agile, and break down into smaller pieces to enhance project efficiency. The difference between the two methods is that Kanban works best with big teams while Scrum is better for innovation and cross-functional teams. As a result, using Scrum in an IT project is more effective. Scrum appears to be more successful than Kanban, according to studies. Scrum, according to the findings, performs better in terms of scheduling and may achieve consistency in terms of project management elements. Finally, it is a modest project that requires some ingenuity. Furthermore, the IT project team consists of a limited number of people who must work together cross-functionally. Organize success by Agile methodology To be effective and productive in a project, the team must properly manage their success. The team will be successful, according to the book, if the manager knows and understands what agile improvement is, establishment and development of agile teams, and how to coordinate and operate in a variety of situations. (Crowder, 2015) They should also be aware of the distinctions between Agile project management and the conventional development cycle. Change is terrible for Agile work, therefore the Agile manager should evaluate and address any difficulties before starting. As previously said, when issues or changes in the initial need arise. It has a tendency to replan everything from the starting of the program timetable and consume the (EAS). A new outline should be in space, outlining all of the details of the IT project. As a result, the development cycle will begin over with a fresh budget and timeline. 25 Furthermore, if a problem occurs in the project, about 40% of the they will be reworked; but, if there are changes in requirements, the job will be restarted from the beginning. It will have a significant impact on the entire system, configuration items, and components. As a result, the importance of the Agile manager in the impact of Agile project management on IT sector efficiency is quite significant. Agile methods This new technique focuses on evaluation, which increases the ability for growth in this process. In this procedure, a prototype tool enhanced the technique. As a result, Agile techniques, which address cost and deadline concerns, also have additional flaws. The primary issue necessitates time and effort. It has been concentrating on Agile organizations for some years, namely the danger of lost investment and time, as well as the obstacles encountered along the way. People, technologies, processes, and management are all part of the development. (Santos, 2018)As a result, it is an organizational learning process. Researchers created these agility processes for an IT project in order to improve team activities such as issue solving and boost the comparison of agility among organizations and teams. There are a few techniques that produce problems and challenges, however Agile methodology, such as Scrum, can assist tackle this problem in a variety of ways. Satisfaction and its correlates in agile software development According to Kropp and Meier research ,it has been becoming popular nowadays in IT and industrial projects since it boosts team productivity, morale, problem-solving speed, and team development. The study indicates that Agile is widely used, using two surveys: one for businesses and the other for the IT sector. This group of researchers pays increased attention and participation to the IT business. In order to obtain customer satisfaction, there are three primary types of practices: technical, planning, and collaborative. And the major source of enjoyment from joint work is: Self-organizing teams and communal code ownership(Kropp and Meier, 2020) Their study looked into how customer satisfaction relates to improvements and outcomes. Kropp and Meier agree Agile improvement is more than just scheduling in a project, and that it increases customer satisfaction. In the Agile approach, the market of time elements was most important. All team's tensions were the lesser factor. Finally, in 2016, experts in Switzerland explained why happiness with Agile is the most essential aspect. And the more satisfied you are with Agile, the more business benefits or collaborative practices you will see. However, team influences such as disputes and technical practices would result in reduced pleasure. In the IT area, it is important to concentrate on some experience in some technological quality. In addition, the Agile and Waterfall methodologies in IT projects were explored in this study. Furthermore, two of them are quite well-known, yet they are completely distinct from one another. In the end, Agile focuses on the quality of the IT project. However, Waterfall is more commonly utilized in engineering systems, whereas Agile is more commonly employed in IT projects. Waterfall research is a type of linear research that concludes with the completion of the entire assignment as well as a specific task. Agile technique places a greater emphasis on a strategy, an outcome, and people. For example, the IT project's productivity may have an influence on platforms like Jira and Kissflow Project. Jira in Atlassian is the most effective project. Jira Software helps the team plan, release, and monitor projects. It is a well-known tool that aids in the planning of sprints and the creation of processes. Agile is incremental, whereas Waterfall is linear. The Waterfall method divides the whole project into stages and aids in the completion of a single project, whereas the Agile method splits the project into sprints and aids in the completion of several projects. Waterfall is a successful project delivery method, while Agile places a greater emphasis on client happiness. 26 Agile technique is more successful and productive for IT projects, according to research. ● This is because this methodology aids team members in completing their job more quickly and scheduling their sprints. ● It encourages and promises productive communication. ● The financial situation isn't fixed in stone. ● Clear and concise communication ● Teams are simple to administer. ● Ensure client happiness ● Work in sprints. Why is the Waterfall not effective? ● The framework is stiff ● There will be no allowance ● Consumer participation is mandatory, which results in low customer satisfaction ● It applies to really huge projects, but we already aware that projects are modest and time is ● Testing is not a effective thing According to Cezary Orlowski's research technology has been defined by rapid speed, fast change, and complexity in recent years. According to the report, the popularity of Agile methods grew and boosted the success rate in the IT business. Between 2002 and 2012, the study contrasted Agile and Waterfall methodologies. In 2002, around 42% of projects were completed, and by 2012, that number had risen to 43%. In 2002, the waterfall approach was successful approximately 26% of the time; however, in 2012, it was only successful about 14% of the time. (Cerazy Orlowski, 2017) Agile was challenged almost 49 percent of the time in 2012, while the waterfall was more hazardous around 57 percent of the time. 27 Risk management In other research I found some risk management by Agile, and thought that it will be more helpful to the KBTU. This is because, during my internship, I have noticed that managers sometimes forget about risks, however it is a fact that risk can happen in every place, if you incorrectly organize it. And I'd like to know if Agile is hazardous for IT projects. There are 66 hazards in the IT project, according to Sarah Beecam. We are all aware that every action has some level of danger. Risks are divided into four quadrants in this study. Customer mandate, scope and requirements, environment, and execution are all factors to consider.(Sarah Beecam 2021) Quadrant 1:Mandate of customer. Risk is extremely important, and the level of control is required by law. ● customer disagreements ● There is a lack of usеr participation ● Change is resisted by users ● There is a lack of organizational commitment ● Users may have a pessimistic mindset Second Quadrant 2: Scope and Requirements. The amount of control is strong, and the perceived relative significance is high ● Some system requirements are in conflict ● Requirements are always changing ● Uncertainty in the system ● The project's scope and goal are constantly shifting ● The system's inputs and outputs ● Understanding the system's strengths and limitations is essential Third quadrant 3: Execution. The importance of risk is regulated by law, and there is a high degree of supervision. ● The project's planning is terrible ● Ineffective communication ● The project's project manager is ineffective ● Members of the team are at odds with one another ● The project necessitates the use of modern technology ● Members of the team are unaware of their responsibilities or are unfamiliar with them. Fourth Quadrant 4: Environment. The danger is somewhat important, and the level of control is legal ● Organizational management may alter during the project ● Politics having a detrimental impact on the project ● The working environment is in flux ● Involvement of external vendors in the development project According to research, these four variables have a significant detrimental impact on the productivity of IT projects. Unfortunately, no remedy or method for avoiding such issues is given in this study. It would be more beneficial if this study included additional information about each quadrant and risk solutions. However, it is also beneficial if the project team is aware of the project's hazards. This is because they may take into account unknown elements. It also aids team members in completing their IT projects at a high degree of productivity. 28 David Hoffmann's research indicates that a successful decision-making process and plan are built on success and adaptability. Information flow has an impact on an IT PPM, therefore it's important to be cognizant of human agency. Controlling, assessing, and selecting IT projects are all part of the IT PPM tasks. Subject, Community, Object and Outcome, Rules, Tools, and Division of Labor are among the seven activities. Portfolio management team and transform community are two of the topics covered. Portfolio personnel, line management, and IT project portfolio are examples of community. And there are tools for learning, structuring, and exploitation of portfolios. And division labor refers to things like roles and decisionmaking that result in a project's conclusion. (David Hoffman 2020) 29 SECTION 3 Recommendation and conclusion Recommendation During my one month internship practicing in the Kazakh British Technical University, I have found some remarkable aspects. On the other hand, I noticed several mistakes and things, which help to improve overall system of university. Remarkable aspects of KBTU: Employees are really interested at their work. For example, to complete the given task, employees can come in the weekend or go home later. Employees are like family, not just colleagues. They support each other and help to solve some hard tasks. I remember how we eat lunch together and talk, laugh with each other The aim of both departments are very interesting with regular customers Employees can focus on good. Therefore, the atmosphere of work is good. Effective communication with workers Understanding personal conditions and responsible for every employee, for instance I was ill in the morning. My supervisor sent me home and took my sibling’s telephone number. After that she called me and asked about my health. Office is modern and clear Freedom at workplace Development of education has been useful in both 2 departments of KBTU. However universities like KBTU must have to plan, organise projects more advanced and wellmannered, which leads to improvement of rating and education itself in the future. I would recommend to my departments few things, which are written here: ● To enhance the efficiency of an IT project, I propose using the Agile planning technique. This is a straightforward project. It's also fantastic for communication, making it simple to manage teams and sprints, and it's one of the most effective ways to increase customer happiness. By planning projects by Agile methodology departments can save time, money and be more efficient doing it themselves. Traditional methods such as Waterfall are more time consuming and challenging types of organising projects. As I wrote before in the report, 90% of successful and powerful companies nowadays use the Agile method of planning. I hope that it will be useful for both departments. ● It is a clear fact that there are a lot of differences between generations, all generations have their own culture, own opinion, own ideas, own negative side and unique views that makes them special. The KBTU departments which I worked in should focus on every generation separately, and build a special method of studying for each generation. This is because the department has both two generations, such as people who come to seminars and those who buy the course STEP. The Department for Generation Z should make other types of studying. In this report, I write about Scrum methodology for education and its methods and advantages in education. I recommend the SCRUM methodology for Generation Z. 30 ● Before starting a project, team members should assess the risk and take steps to mitigate it. The quadrants are quite useful for maintaining and identifying hazards. Quadrants help to decrease the level of risks and the organisation will be more safe in managing projects such as the 7 th conference of KBTU. ● Differentiate yourself from other traditional approaches by focusing on four major elements. Requirements and satisfaction, project timetable, team role, and client participation are all things to consider. This 4 effort in the Agile methodology may be useful and powerful for both client and organisation. The main aim of 4 efforts is to control all processes between customer satisfaction and organisation. ● Plan the project using the Scrum methodology. This is because Scrum is designed for projects that require innovation. It is obviously clear that there are a lot of methodologies of planning nowadays, however it is hard to find the right one, which leads to success in the future. For example, the KANBAN methodology is a way of planning, in which a company may know what and when it should be done. It helps to focus on important tasks and visualise on board. Moreover, SCRUM methodology is for controlling risks and useful for cross-functional teams. Usually Kanban is for big teams, so for KBTU projects SCRUM will be better and more effective. 31 Conclusion KBTU is one of the top universities in Kazakhstan. One of the main motive of university is to provide high quality of information. This report can clearly reflect the observations and managerial activities of the university. I can totally suggest that I gained new knowledge and great experience with high qualified employees. My aim and objective before the internship were to know about functions, tricks and service as a manager. Doing the internship in the KBTU gives me the opportunity to take a close look at my future career. I worked as a manager in two departments of KBTU. I learnt a lot of things, which will absolutely help me for the next step of my life. The directors of the department allocated work to perform in the meetings of KBTU, and they gave me one great chance to participate in the conferences, course activities. The department gave me a lot of experience from qualified managers, directors and I gained much motivation in the internship by listening to their advice. The workers of the department were very kind, and Experts in their sphere. I give consultation to the enrollee ( student who wants to study in the KBTU) about courses and it was a very useful experience for me. This is because it helps me to develop communication and ability to express my opinion clearly. I enjoyed meeting students and telling them about the course and trying to sell it. I prepared a number of documents such as protocols, requests.and it helps to improve my skills in the documentation, because it is one of the responsible jobs. Moreover, I went for several types of organisations such as Hotel Almaty. Overlay entering the hip gave a lot of experience as a manager. I improved skills such as discipline and responsibility. It is clear that when you sit in the lecture and implement it in real life it gives you a lot of chances to grow as a manager in the future. This is a different experience from sitting in the lecture and studying just in the book. Moreover, in recent years practical sessions are more important and crucial than theoretical basics. I spent two month at the university giving me a chance to enhance my skills and knowledge in the sphere of management with practice and with experienced workers. Actually, in the sphere of management nowadays the competition is increasing year by year. Internships help me to be more competitive. I was glad to take an internship in KBTU and it helps me to explore, identify and investigate my personal goals. In internship, I noticed that my mistakes and strong side as a manager. My Strong side as a manager: I am very responsible for my work. If my manager give me a task, I can complete it on time and with high quality I seek easy way of solving problem. I am creative and it is one of the important personality for the manager I am very punctual and self organized I can manage people to do some task I can make approach for every individual employee I have got charachteristics of leader and I can organize the process of managing projects till the end, also I can correctly divide tasks between team members Personally, I always enrich my knowledge such as reading books, cources 32 I have got fundamental skills in spheres of financing, marketing My soft skills are really improved than hard skills I am flexible and interested in news of worldwide My week sides as a manager: Sometimes, it is hard for me to express my ideas Colleagues may not understand me totally, because I think out of the box Sometimes, it is hard for me to take right decisions In my future career, I can fix my mistakes, and switch my week side into my strong side. I can say that during the internship, I achieve for my objectives and it will be easy for me to find job in the future. 33 List of references: 1.
