Year- End Accomplishment Report
S.Y. 2021-2022
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a country’s investments for an
effective school health program is considered to be a cost-effective investment as it
simultaneously improves health and education. school health and nutrition programs are
separately implemented by the schools on the basis of separate issuances, orders, and
memoranda. While schools will continue to follow existing policies and guidelines for each
program, schools, through OK sa Deped, will plan, organize, implement, monitor, and
evaluate these programs not as separate programs, but as year-round school activities
that complement and reinforce each other toward the overall aim of ensuring the health
and well-being of learners and personnel.
Given this, OK sa DepEd shall not be treated as a new or additional program, but
as an approach to delivering school health and nutrition programs as harmonized
activities at the school level.School-age children need a lot of affection from everybody
not only at home but also at school. They have to be protected from all the infection
diseases and be given proper nutrition so that they can properly concentrate in their
studies. To attain this goal, school heads and teachers, health leaders, RHU/BHW should
have specific programs regarding the proper motivation and nutrition for their pupils to
implement. The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Policy and
Guidelines on Oplan Kalusugan sa Department of Education (OK sa DepEd) for the
provision of basic primary medical and dental care to learners to allow them to attain their
full educational potential.
The policy and guidelines aim to promote and provide all learners and DepEd
personnel with a sustainable holistic school health and nutrition program towards
healthier behaviors and better learning outcomes. Health and Nutrition program promotes
awareness of good habits among the school children. The integration of health concepts
in all subject areas will develop the proper attitudes and appreciation of the value of proper
health and nutrition practices.
To prepare the child for the next stage of development the school used to intensify
health and nutrition information education. Pupils were able to practice good grooming
and personal hygiene. Campaign for a clean and green safe and drug free
environment.Strengthen the partnership among the family, school and community for the

development of the child and school as a child-friendly school.Provide instructional
materials on common disease and their symptoms to be used in daily activity.Adapt a
comprehensive and sustainable School -Based Immunization Program against vaccine
preventable diseases like Dengue and Grade I MRTD Vaccination, Grade 4 HPV
vaccination.Measure the height and weight of the pupils beneficiaries to identify the
severely wasted and wasted pupils after school feeding program. With the cooperation
of the Home economics teachers, nutritious food were served during recess.

PUPILS WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT
The school implemented safety rules and health protocols that adhere to the IATF
guidelines wherein pupils are required to wash their hands and wear their face mask all
the time to ensure their safety. The learners with aged 6 years old above are also required
to have their COVID 19 vaccine. The Deped Nurse conducted Health Orientation among
school children in treatment of minor injuries.School –Based Vaccination Program for
Grade I Tetanus and Diphtheria (TD) and HVP Vaccination conducted by the RHU two
complete session of doses (every six months).Height and weight of children are
determined and compared with the WHO Child Growth Standard Tables and Charts to
come
up
with
the
nutritional
status
of
children
AFTER
THE
FEEDING
PROGRAM.Providing nutritional adequate meal to the target beneficiaries and utilize the
feeding activities as an avenue for the development of health behaviour.We produced
and posted some instructional materials and informative pictures on common diseases
and their symptoms.Provided health guidance and counselling with the participation and
monitor by the Division nurse and school health leader to pupils find with defects and
illnesses.Practice good grooming and personal hygiene daily inspection was conducted.
2. National health Education Week Celebration
A Holding a Symposium intensify health education activities for the prevention of
diseases like dengue influenza, measles, chicken fox.Putting up Bulletin Board deputing
life skills in strategic places inside the school premises.Campaigning for a clean and
green safe and drug free.Implementing oral health program provided elementary pupils
some good lessons regarding health care especially on how to maintain their teeth clean,
free from decay. (WINS Program) Holding symposium regarding the importance dengue
awareness month, drug preventive education and Measles.
A. FOR TEACHERS WELFARE

Be in this time of pandemic, all teachers are being required to be vaccinated and
have their booster shots. Encourage to participating Government and Non-Government
organization in the provision of health facilities in school.Conducting lectures on oral
health promotion.Conduct meeting and seminars on how and what to do every week long
celebration activities come.Set another meeting after an affair or activities, allowing
school health leader to report, impart what has been taken/earned during the
activities.Conducted medical check-up for teachers and non-teaching personnel in our
area of responsibilities
The DepEd WinS Program is designed to achieve learning and health outcomes
of Filipino students through a comprehensive, sustainable, and scalable school-based
WASH program pursuant to the State's mandate to defend the right of children to dignity,
assistance, and protection from conditions that would hamper their well being.
B. For School Welfare
Conducted evaluation and continuous monitoring to be able to win in the Division
Level Health. Intensify the anti-Dengue drive through information dissemination on the
nature of fever and its prevention alert system in the school. Creates clean-up brigades
Campaigned for clean, green, safe and drug-free environment by inviting barangay
officials, teacher, health leaders, parents and concern citizens. Strengthened partnership
among the parents and community for the development of the child in the school.
Recommendation:
It is recommended for the the school to continuously implement safety protocols to
ensure safety and healthy learning environment. Maintain harmonious relationship with
the different stakeholders to facilitate funding for the maintenance of the school
clinic,”Gulayan sa Paaralan” and for the school feeding program. In line with the program,
OK sa DepEd shall redound towards improving school performance or learning indicators
of the learners, such as improved attendance and class participation, improved
completion and achievement levels, and reduced drop-out.
CONCLUSION
Continue cooperation among teachers, concerned citizens, Local Government Unit,
PTA, Division nurse, RHU, barangay health workers and Barangay Officials for the
improvement of the school Health facilities and for the benefit of our children. All activities
were successfully accomplished due to their cooperative effort. Working hand in hand is

the key of the success of any projects. School Year 2021-2022 was really filled with
different activities with lots of significant opportunities and blessing not only for our pupils
but also for our parents and teachers as well.
