Each side is called face. Two faces that intersect in a line segment is called an edge. Two edges that intersect in a point is called a vertex. Solid figures are figures that have three dimensions such as length, with and height. A prism is a polyhedron that has two congruent parallel faces called bases. There are many different kinds of prisms. A prism is named according to the shape of its base.
