In my opinion, I believe that knowing a second language has several
advantages. Firstly, learning a second language helps people connect with
others. This is because there are many countries with different languages all
over the world, so the more linguistic you are, the more people you can
communicate with. Secondly, being bilingual gives people more chances to
advance their career. In fact, more and more companies require their
candidates to know at least one foreign language, and employees are easily
being promoted if they are capable of communicating with customers
oversea. For instance, my friend was recruited into a reputable company by
