LO 4 (4.2 and 4.3) Understand appropriate responses to accidents, incidents, emergencies and
illness in the learning environment and during off site visit
1. How do you report accidents, incidents, injuries or illness? If this happens, I would have
to report to the lead teacher. I have to write down what happened or what I observed.
The lead teacher would take over and either report to the social worker, nurse and they
would inform the parent.
2. How do case reviews help you in your practice? When we review cases, it helps our
safety teams to update the procedures we have in place and we can prepare better.
LO 5(5.2)
1. What is your responsibility and accountability with giving medication? Right now, I
don’t give medication. The nurse gives medication, I can document if children are sick
only.
