world. Some are less popular and some are spoken all around the world. English, though has very few native
speakers, is considered the global language. Most people consider English to be a global language because it
is the one language that is spoken and understood by the majority of the population in almost every region
of the world. A global language is a language that is learned and spoken internationally by native and second
language speakers.
◦ Learning and being able to speak and understand English becomes very handy when two different language
speakers need to communicate. Since the language is widely learned by all language speakers it helps them
communicate with each other.
◦ English is also used in almost every sector such as education, medicine, business, technology, tourism,
communication, and so on.
