Step 1, Mexico gained their independence from Spain in 1821.The new country encouraged American
farmers to move to its northern territories. cheap land prices drew Americans to settle in the northern
region mexico , known as Texas in the 1820’s.
Part 2 of step 1, besides gaining new territory the U.S.A gained new natural resources such as more gold,
oil and even more coil
Step 2, the United States should have declared because Mexico had fired first and Mexico wouldn’t
meet the U.S officials to discuss the problem there for causing the congress to vote to go to war against
Mexico, A second reason is Mexico immediately responded to the “invasion” with force. The U.S force
had one several important victories in Northern Mexico by the end of that year.
Step 3, Even though some people think that the U.S.A shouldn't have declared war on Mexico, I think
what happen was right because mexico started the war causing the U.S.A to rebel.
