PELTI is an organization that regulates tennis in Indonesia. PELTI is a forum that has a
promotional role, provides funding for player development, organizes professional and junior
tournaments, and manages the Indonesian tennis team. The beginning of the
implementation of a tennis match in Indonesia was recorded on December 26, 1935 in
Semarang, which was also the year the Indonesian Lawn Tennis Association (PELTI) was
initiated.
The idea of establishing PELTI was initiated by Mr. Budiyanto Martoatmodjo from Jember
tennis leader. At that time, although the establishment of PELTI was overshadowed by the
colonials, this did not dampen the enthusiasm and make Indonesian youths afraid in
developing PELTI.The main purpose of the establishment of PELTI is to promote the game of
tennis by the nation itself, and as a means to strengthen the relationship between tennis
lovers throughout the country.

Challenge
The challenge in my opinion is the lack of public knowledge
about the sport of tennis, making us have to provide
knowledge/understanding and an overview of the sport of
tennis.
The obstacles
The obstacles faced are
• lack of support from the government has become
a classic problem and an old song.
• lack of support from the government for tennis,
and this sport.

The basic concept of
sports
Tennis or tambourine ball is a sport that is usually played
between two players or between two pairs of two players
each. Each player uses a racket to hit the rubber ball. The
object of the game is to play the ball in such a way that the
opposing player cannot return the ball.
...
Basic technique
1. Body Attitude
We are ready to wait for the ball to come and return service from the
opponent. Here are the ready stance details during the game:
•
The body is slightly bent and the legs are parallel bent at the knees.
•
Hold the racket properly and place it in the front or in the center
•
Hands when holding the racket ideally are held with both hands
where the left hand holds the neck of the racket, while the right
hand holds the bottom of the racket.
Basic technique
2. Holding the Racket
There are 4 (four) types of techniques for
holding a racket in this tennis game. That is:
1º
Eastern Grip
2º
Continental Grip

3. Hit the Ball
In the game of tennis, the technique of hitting the ball is divided
into 3 (three) techniques, the following are the details:
• Service Punch
service stroke which is a stroke to start the game. The player
will hold the ball in one hand and the other hand holding the
racket which is pushed back and then swung forward. The ball
must enter the opponent's area and must not go out or get stuck
in the net.
• Forehand and Backhand
forehand and backhand which are used to prepare the body or
package to receive the ball that is hit by the opponent
• Volleyball
The last technique is volleyball, which is hitting the ball after it
bounces on the surface of the field
Scoring rules
In tennis, the highest score is 6 and in a match it can consist
of 3 sets and can also be up to 5 sets. Each set has the highest
score of 6 and whichever player reaches that number first and
more than two sets is declared the winner.
The player's score increases if he manages to drop the ball

tópicothe ball. If the ball that is hit
leaves the playing field, it will benefit the opposing party.
Here are the rules quoted from the Rules of Sport:
-Points in tennis are counted if one of the players hits the ball over the net or net and drops it in the opponent's area.
-The match begins by tossing a coin, to determine which player or team will serve first.
-Players who will serve must do so on the baseline. The player's foot must not step forward from the baseline point if it has not served.
-If the player who should have served failed, then that player is given a second chance to serve again. However, if it still fails, the player's
points will be lost.
-The opposing player who receives a serve can stand in any position to make a return stroke.
-Points are awarded in numbers 15, 30 and 40. 15 means 1 point, 30 means 2 points, and 40 means 3 points.
-In order to win the match, the player must be able to get 4 points. Deuce occurs when the points of both players or teams reach 40-40.
The winner of the deuce is determined from the two additional points earned.
-If a player touches the net and interferes with an opposing player, that player will lose his points.
-The ball can fall and touch any area as long as it is in the line. The ball is considered out if it goes out of line.
-The ball in a tennis match will be replaced if it has passed every six games.
-Players will lose points if they fail to hit the ball back and fall in the right area, hit the net and fail to hit the ball back into the opponent's
area.
