The main objective of this lab is how microbial colonization occurs and based on this we can create a hypothesis, using diffusion disc experiments and studying how microorganisms travel, we will be able to help restrict the spread of an infection in this way. We can identify how the infection has become antibiotic-resistant and what other drugs should be supplied using a pus sample from the patient. We'll also learn about different sterilisation and decontamination methods, as well as how to avoid illness spread. Because the patient has an infection that appears to be resistant to some antibiotics, we will be able to discover which antimicrobial compounds are successful if we can do a diffusion disc assay, and maybe this will cure the infection. 2.
