Label 3 boiling tubes
Using a cork borer cut out 3 long (2-3 cm) cylinders from a potato
Trim the skin off the potato and cut to equal length (e.g. 2 cm)
Using a mortar and pestle, crush 1 of the cylinders and add to a boiling tube
Repeat for other potato cylinders
Add a small amount of dish-washing liquid (2-3 drops)
Add 10 mL of water and gently mix
Wait 5 minutes and add 10 mL of hydrogen peroxide
Measure the amount of foam/ bubbles produced.
