The K+ H+ transport proteins move H+ out of the vacuole which changes the
pH.
The activation causes more K+ to enter the cell which makes it hypertonic
and lowers the water potential.
All of the transport proteins would cease to work because they require ATP
for active transport
These cells are likely red blood cells
RBC’s have no organelles that are listed in the table
The cell would use the citric acid cycle
causing a buildup of lactic acid because it is
likely a muscle cell.
Because of the large
amount of mitochondria
Cell X is likely a muscle
cell
Water potential helps move water around without the use of
transport proteins.
The net movement of water is out of the cell.
The cell would die from the environment it is put in.
Eukaryotic cells use facilitated diļ¬€usion and transport proteins to move things
down gradients.
