Kandel1 Swochha Kandel Eric Belec Freshman English 20 April 2022 Tybalt’s Paragraph In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Tybalt is one of the famous and amazing characters. Tybalt shows the behavior of Toxic Masculinity which is not good behavior, he always shows negative attitudes and also tries to fight with his enemy and kill them. Toxic Masculinity involves different behaviors like Toughness, Antifeminity, and Power. Toxic masculinity also discourages men from getting mental health treatment. Depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, and mental health problems may be viewed as weaknesses. For instance, Amy Morin says “ In a 2015 study found that men who bought into traditional notions of masculinity held more of a negative attitude about seeking mental health services compared to those with more flexible gender attitudes. ( Amy Morin). In simplest words, people who have Toxic Masculinity always show negative attitudes toward others. In the Future, if Toxic Masculinity continues there will be no friendship or unity, and people will start to live alone and they can be depressed. The people who have toxic Masculinity always show negative attitudes to others and don’t like to work in a group, start to live alone, and get depressed. Capulet organizes the parties where he invites his friends, relatives, etc. But in the Capulet’s party Montagues enter. Tybalt recognizes Romeo by his voice and became so angry that he enters the party of capulet but Romeo is a Montague. Tybalt says, “This by his voice, should be a Montague( to his PAGE) Fetch my rapier, boy. What, dares the slave Come hither, covered with an antic face, To fleer and scorn at our solemnity? Now, by the stock and honor of my kin, To strike him dead I hold it not a Kandel2 sin”. (1.5.50-60) In simple words, we can say that Tybalt is showing the behavior of Toxic Masculinity, he wants to fight with Romeo and kill him. In the future, If Tybalt's toxic Masculinity behavior will not be controlled it can lead to huge problems for Tybalt, and because of his behavior he can also die. Tybalt always shows his negative attitude toward others because he has a behavior of Toxic Masculinity which can lead to big problems and difficulties for him. In conclusion, Tybalt is one of the famous characters from Romeo and Juliet he has the behavior of Toxic Masculinity because of that he always so a negative attitude to others and wants to fight.
