Tybalt’s Paragraph
In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Tybalt is one of the famous and amazing
characters. Tybalt shows the behavior of Toxic Masculinity which is not good behavior, he
always shows negative attitudes and also tries to fight with his enemy and kill them. Toxic
Masculinity involves different behaviors like Toughness, Antifeminity, and Power. Toxic
masculinity also discourages men from getting mental health treatment. Depression, anxiety,
substance abuse issues, and mental health problems may be viewed as weaknesses. For instance,
Amy Morin says “ In a 2015 study found that men who bought into traditional notions of
masculinity held more of a negative attitude about seeking mental health services compared to
those with more flexible gender attitudes. ( Amy Morin). In simplest words, people who have
Toxic Masculinity always show negative attitudes toward others. In the Future, if Toxic
Masculinity continues there will be no friendship or unity, and people will start to live alone and
they can be depressed. The people who have toxic Masculinity always show negative attitudes to
others and don’t like to work in a group, start to live alone, and get depressed. Capulet organizes
the parties where he invites his friends, relatives, etc. But in the Capulet’s party Montagues enter.
Tybalt recognizes Romeo by his voice and became so angry that he enters the party of capulet
but Romeo is a Montague. Tybalt says, “This by his voice, should be a Montague( to his PAGE)
Fetch my rapier, boy. What, dares the slave Come hither, covered with an antic face, To fleer and
scorn at our solemnity? Now, by the stock and honor of my kin, To strike him dead I hold it not a
sin”. (1.5.50-60) In simple words, we can say that Tybalt is showing the behavior of Toxic
Masculinity, he wants to fight with Romeo and kill him. In the future, If Tybalt's toxic
Masculinity behavior will not be controlled it can lead to huge problems for Tybalt, and because
of his behavior he can also die. Tybalt always shows his negative attitude toward others because
he has a behavior of Toxic Masculinity which can lead to big problems and difficulties for him.
In conclusion, Tybalt is one of the famous characters from Romeo and Juliet he has the behavior
of Toxic Masculinity because of that he always so a negative attitude to others and wants to fight.
