Varius Scarf
This an easy but beautiful scarf. It‘s knitted using cross
stitches which look especially good with variegated yarn.
The pattern is very simple and is constructed with two rounds
that are repeated througout the scarf. It‘s also easy to make
the scarf wider or narrower by casting on a different number
of stitches. Just make sure that it‘s an odd number.
Materials:
Yarn, for example Araucania Aysen, Abuelita Worsted,
Malabrigo Silky Merino or what ever you desire.
Needles that fit the yarn.
Directions:
Cast on 41 stitches.
Round 1:
Knit 2, purl the second stich on your left needle and leave it on the needle
while you purl the first stitch. Then take them off the needle together. One
cross made. Repeat this until you have 3 stitches left. Purl 1, knit 2.
Round 2:
Knit 2, knit the second stitch on your left needle through the back loop and
leave it on the needle while you knit the first stitch through the front loop.
Then take them off the needle together. One cross made. Repeat this until 3
stitches remain. Knit 3.
Repeat these two rounds until the scarf measures 120 cm (47 inches) or as long as you like.
Weave in ends and add a fringe to each end if you like.
