Numerous decisions flood our everyday lives. From tiny routine choices, such as what for breakfast and which clothes to wear, to crucial huge decisions like the acquisition of other companies, decisions are something inevitable and which we have to face and make choices all the time. However, some people consider a person should make decisions alone because nobody will bear the outcome and take the responsibility for the result except himself or herself. Therefore, they think that people should just make the choice by themselves and accept the path they choose no matter it ends up good or bad. But, in my opinion, I believe that an important decision should be made after cautious and comprehensive discussion of a team instead of one person. Following are three obvious reasons which prompt me to believe that a person should never make a vital decision alone. The main reason for my inclination is that discussion can help people think comprehensively. Since nobody is born in perfect, it is natural for human being to make mistakes. Through exchanging ideas with others, people can realize problems which are never flash into their minds and result in freeing themselves from future troubles. Secondly, people tend to make a rush decision in impetuosity. If a person need to make a huge important decision alone, the stress may steal into him and fossilize his thinking. Ultimately, the person, who is fogged by tremendous pressure, probably ends up making worst choice. Therefore, facing a crucial decision, people should seek for others’ help. It’s not only for valuable advices but also sharing the stress with others in order to keep themselves from taking over by pressure and leading to make wrong choice. Last but not least, nowadays, a huge amount of works is teamwork rather than individual job. In other words, every decision a person makes are no longer affect only himself but the whole team. It turns out not fair if the important things just decide by one because the results of the decisions still need everyone to take. Therefore, when it comes to making crucial decisions, everyone should have a chance to take part in it. To sum up, if a person makes an important decision alone, he may not be able to think comprehensively and pick up the best choice. At the end, the awful decision may even affect others greatly. As a result, I believe that an important decision should be made by a team rather than a single person. (416words/80mins)
