Sarah Whitaker Essentials Mrs. Siemers February 16, 2022 Getting Around Hogwarts Welcome to Hogwarts! Here you will find many interesting classes. If you like sports, maybe you'd like quidditch. Another fun place to visit is Hogsmeade- a small wizarding village where there is delicious candy. Lets start the tour! If you manage to find your classes, you’re in for it! There's Potion's in the dungeons. Divanation is in the tallest tower, and Transfiguration where you change things into other things. In Charms you charm your emotions to be different. Then there's Defense Against the Dark Arts, the most dangerous and confusing class. Head on out to the quidditch pitch for a match against Slytherin. There are 3 types of balls in quidditch. One of them is called the quaffle. The three chasers use the quaffle to score through enormous hoops while riding broomsticks. The Keeper protects the hoops from the chasers. The bludgers get heartily beaten around by Beaters, who hit them at the other team to knock them off of their brooms. The Seeker looks for the snitch, which is a little walnut-sized golden ball with small, feathery wings. Because a permission slip is required to go to the town of Hogsmeade, not everyone can go. However, if you get the chance to visit, the candy is yummy and there are many types from which to choose. Here are a few: Acid Pops, Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, Butter Beer Fudge, Squeaky Ice Mice, and Cockroach Clusters. Visit the Three Broomsticks for a cup of Butter Beer. The taste is amazing! You can also head up to the spooky Shrieking Shack for a look at the scary, abandoned house. Did you enjoy your tour? Those classes sure seemed interesting!
