• A book review is a critic of a book by reader. • It consists reader’s opinion and feeling. • It is also a guide for the new readers. There are four main parts of a book review: Introduction Characters Summary Evaluation INTRODUCTION •This part introduces your book. •This part contains; oTITLE oAUTHOR oGENRE oSETTING (name of the book) (writer) (category) (time and place) INTRODUCTION SAMPLE TITLE AND AUTHOR • Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone is a best-seller book by J. K. Rowling. • The book is a fantastic story. GENRE SETTING • The story takes place at a school of magic for young witches and wizards, Hogwarts. Hogwarts is also a castle that is magically hidden in the countryside of modern England. CHARACTERS • In this part reviewer talks about the main characters and their characteristics shortly. • You should also talk about your ideas about characters: • Who is your favourite character? Why? • or • Which character is the most important one in the story?
