Personification Center Personification: Giving an animal, object, or idea human qualities. Example: The old car groaned into third gear. Cartoon characters always seem to “save the day.” Underdog and Lightning McQueen(Cars) are examples of the action hero type. Mickey Mouse and Spongebob Squarepants are of the average variety. Many of these cartoon characters have been personified. These characters are given human traits such as the ability to speak and show emotions such as love anger. Your Task: Create your own cartoon character using the clay provided. You will only have 10 minutes to make your character. Place your character in the center of your data quad and complete the remaining sections of the quad. Please be sure to start the timer before you begin your clay sculpture! Task #2 (7 minutes): The remaining members of the group will use the magnet letters to create alliterations. One person at a time creates an alliteration and places it on the magnet board. The remaining members, one at a time, recite the alliteration 3 times as fast as they can. The member that recites without any errors wins!
