It is founded in Indigenous lifeways and relationships with the environment, as you can see in my collage, and is valuable to all societies, not just Indigenous Peoples. I chose these images because they are visually appealing and allow us to consider how significant these lifeways have been in the past and present. Knowing that there is a rising realization of the worth of traditional/indigenous wisdom that is applicable today inspires and encourages me tremendously. It is important not just to those who rely on it in their everyday lives, but also to modern industry and agriculture, in my opinion. It has to be safeguarded and promoted, with a focus on passing down Indigenous knowledge to future generations.
