Abel’s response: Globalization UoPeople Assignment 1 Innocent Ndock-Kong 01/31/2022 Globalization has negative and positive effects; we all know that globalization is not new and sometimes I think that has more negative effects than positive but I truly belief that cannot be stop. Let’s looks at one of the positive effects, back in the days (1970’s 1980’s) communication was very slow, even mail it took long time, not mention to travel around the world, how about internet, and phone services, now we can do a video call and actually see our love ones, or allow us to make business faster and with confidence this is just a few positives effects of globalization. I belief that the technology is one best positives effects of the globalization. Most of us have a cell phone now, in seconds we can travel around the world. I remember my first cell phone it was so big and was not digital, we couldn’t storage any info, we memorized all phone number, it was good we never forget the wife phone number, So this is positive side of the globalization. Let’s look at negative side, example: 1. Pollution, there is so many planes, ships cars operating right now that greenhouse effects ae starting to show up, main problem global warming, I know that there still many people that do not belief in global warming, but it is real, we can already see it on all the natural disasters, a lot more tornados, tsunamis, some places are getting hotter that there is not enough water. There is lot to do if we want to have future generation or a massive extinction of life on this planet. 2. Even if most of us are happy with the new technology it also has its downside, all the pollution cause by all the batteries when they are disposed, all the plastic for those cases and so on. I guess we must pay the price for the commodities, sometimes I think that the price is to high, but is difficult to accept for some of the people that are making a lot of money but most of all what we need is to be educated. Conclusion. For my point of view Education is the key so we can all work on the same goal, if we know that we cannot stop globalization we must work together to make it work in the best common interest for everybody, before the damage is irreversible, at that point is going to be to late.
