Program Objectives :
Union budget is one of the Fiscal Economic Policies of the Central Government. The
Union Budget is being presented in the parliament by the Finance Minister on 1st
February year on year. It is more important and interest of every citizen to understand the
economic policies of the government. In general, the budget focuses mainly on
reallocation of resources, reducing inequalities, economic stability, management of
public enterprises, economic growth and reducing regional disparities and more
specifically on Education, Health, Agriculture and Employment. We at East West College
of Management put our effort to organize Panel Discussion on Union Budget deliberated
by renowned panellist from different domains benefiting students to improve their
knowledge in economic policies of union government.
About the Institution :
East West College of Management is a unit of East West Group of Institutions established
in the year 1968 by Sri C. M. Nagaraj, Ex-Mayor, BBMP, Bengaluru, Philanthropist and a
social worker. Presently the institution is ably managed by the Chairperson Ms. Rashmi
Ravikiran and Secretary Mr. C.R. Tejaskiran.
Since its inception the institution rolled out more than 1.5 lakh students from different
streams namely Engineering, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Polytechnic, Science
and Architecture. East West College of Management established during 1998 is one of the
pioneer institutions of the west zone of BBMP limits, Bengaluru which caters to the needy
students from rural, semi urban, middle class and below poverty line in addition to
upcountry students to educate them on their own choices and also to create better
livelihood among the deprived section of the society and improving their career
opportunities.
Profile of the Panelist
Adv. T N C Sridhar – He holds a B.Sc. (Microbiology), Dip in Labour Law and LLB. He
started his career as laboratory technician at Pune and handled various responsibilities
like Income tax Inspector, Officer, Assistant commissioner, Deputy commissioner at
Bangalore, Tumkur and Hubli. Joint commissioner of income tax at Madgaon, Goa. He is a
panelist in various TV channels of like TV9, Suvarna, Public, News X, Zee Kannada News
etc. on topics related to income tax.
Mr. CA Vijaya Rajesh – He holds a Degree in B Com, LLB & CA. He is specialized in
GST, VAT, Income Tax , Corporate Tax, Service Tax, TDS, Trust & Society property
matters. He is a specialist in analyzation of Budgets, contributing articles regarding
Economic & Finance matters in Kannada newspapers namely Kannada Prabha &
Udayavani. He appears in Suvarna News, Doordarshan & Public TV for legal & Tax
matters, as well as Budget discussions. He regularly practices at Appellate authorities, Tax tribunals & High
Courts.
Mr. Ashok Devanampriya – He holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
from P.E.S. Institute of Technology, Bangalore & an MBA in Strategic Planning from
Edinburgh University, U K. He has 15+ years of experience in the areas of Solution /
Product management, SAP for Banking, SAP for Finance, SAP FICO, Business Consulting
and New product Development using agile methodologies. He has delivered many
complex projects in the Investment banking, automotive, consumer electronics, Life
Sciences, Oil & Gas and FMCG industries across North America, Europe & Asia Pacific AND Japan regions.
Adv. Tanmayee Rajkumar – She graduated from University Law College,
Bangalore, she is practicing Law in specialized areas like taxation, Litigation and advisory
etc. She focuses primarily on direct taxes and handles legal matters for large corporates
at the Income- tax Appellate Tribunal, High Court and the Supreme Court. She also
engaged in Civil Litigation and publishing legal articles as well. She has participated in
national and international Moot Court competitions and interned extensively with several
law firms before entering into her career in litigation at King & Partridge Advocates in the year 2010, where she is
now a partner.
Dr. H R Venkatesha – He is a M.Com, MBA and PhD. He has guided 9 PhD students
for their doctoral program from Karnatak University, Dharwad and other Universities. He
is also a corporate trainer who has worked for companies like Jindal Pvt. Ltd, RCS
Technologies, Public Policy Unit of Government of Karnataka and others. Presently he is
the Director of ABBS since 14 years and possessing 39 years of teaching, research and
administrative experience.
Dr. R Chandra Moorthy – He is a BSc, LLB, MBA, PGDHRD, MIMA, CAIIB-I and
PhD. He has around 40 years of industry and teaching experience. He has also worked in
other esteemed organizations like BMS College of Management studies, Oxford College
of Management studies, Acharya School of Business and various training colleges like;
State Bank of Mysore, Canara Bank and Vijaya Bank. He is serving as Director at EWCM,
since Aug 2015. He has been considered as a change agent to come out with select
innovative programme and value additions at East West College of Management.

Panel discussion will be held on 9th February 2022 from 2 PM on Zoom platform.
The interested academicians, students, technocrats and Industry professionals
