fi Corona Virus - past, presence and future It’s been almost a year since the COVID-19 appearance but no one still knows how it exactly emerged and started to spread. The most likely source could be bats. Bats have been reliable and trusted carriers of various types of coronaviruses such as SARS-Cov. That means bats must be the original source of the horrible COVID-19 but the real question is: How did the virus get to us, humans? It might have happened by someone eating an infected bat, getting sick, and spreading the virus across the town. But the more likely way it spread by might be that an infected bat could have urinated on to farm animals’ food which they ate and got infected too. Then humans ate the animals and started spreading the virus without actually noticing it at rst. Thankfully there are already several thousands of vaccines being made each and every day, which scientists believe in. These vaccines will probably be able to cure the virus and stop the pandemic. We just have to hope. Ondřej Coufal
